New topic PrintableSo.. Another place. Another purchase. Also the mp3z. I could not resist. The WAV is different though!
The process was smooth. I am (again) somewhat impressed.

That is a pretty decent description of what you can expect. RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Overall, I am quite happy. Incredibly reasonable prices. The Screwdriver remix is a bit more than just the "guitar turned up" version. Some weird and funky stuff happens at the end. "Breakfast Can Wait" is a nice chill little groove. My only complaint is that we didn't get a video of the rehearsal this time. Hopefully more live performance videos to come.

love all this stuff! 2013 is indeed shaping up to be a great year full of surprises.
def feeling 'breakfast can wait'. nice mellow track. had to laugh out loud at the smurf vocal near the end. that threw me off
screwdriver remix is a trip. it rocks and it funks and then it, ehm, raves, lol it keeps you on your toes, that's for sure.
now i just hope that 3rdEyeGirl will also be able to post a pay for download of quality as these tracks so i could put them in the same folder.

Oh, how bad I was to think he doesn't listen From Italy the site works perfectly and I downloaded them all. Fabulous remix to screwdriver (remix? It's another version), I like Breakfast can wait (ok, I'm not mad about the chipmunk voice, but that may be just me). I can't really see why two different sites, but hell, who cares. It works. And the songs too Happyyy

From the checkout screen,
"Pay via PayPal; you can pay with your credit card if you don't have a PayPal account"
You still go through to the PayPal page, but from there you can simply use a credit card - Paypal is simply acting as the payment gateway in this case. Obviously people can use their Paypal accounts if they have them (and want to), but you can also use cards.

I like the "remix" of Screwdriver---more lively than anything he's put out in a long time.
I'm not feeling 'Breakfast can wait', but that's probably just because I don't care for that type of song in general---and it sounds like a leftover from 20Ten.
I'm shocked. The website doesn't appear to be asking for any membership signups.

these songs we've got now make for a real nice EP:
01. Screwdriver 02. Rock N Roll Love Affair 03. Same Page, Different Book 04. Breakfast Can Wait
loving all these tracks. they sound healthy and they're classic prince songs yet different enough to be interesting and make you wanna go back again, again and again.
i'm impressed by how this year is shaping up.
and how nice is it to get online and read about new tunes, then go to these sites and just buy them, download and listen in good quality.
so much better than having a youtube vid or osbcure stream that you have to then somehow grab in bad quality.
goodness.

I have just made my order, thank U Prince!!
I just couldn't resist, ordered all 4 tracks..
And I am enjoying them too,
even the remix 7 of RNR Love Affair... Prince 4Ever.

He needs to have song samples (snippets) of each track, and the track time.
....If he wants this to be of interest to anyone outside of the Prince community.

Can someone explain how I actually download the songs after I pay for them. I'm on my iphone and I get to my account and I view order and I click on the songs, but I just get a page to order the song again.

I completely agree.
I absolutely LOVE the Jamie Star-esque tease of a yelp towards the end of the 4 minute mark of the Screwdriver remix just after the slight psychedelic vibe is brought in. He is experimenting again, which is a good sign. Perhaps, the "single" format is working for the time being, in the same way that he went into overdrive during the early Gold era (before a fully assembled "album" came to fruition).
As a MASSIVE fan of the entire 20TEN album (it's sense of fluidity, rhythm, arrangement and conciseness), I think the blueprint followed by the deranged Camille-eque elements of Breakfast Can Wait take it to a new experimental level, which again is a good sign.
4 to 6 more new "single" tracks and I think I would be satisfied for the year, as an album could form itself with our own arranging. That said, a proper new album release would just be killer mid-way through the year, if he continues to work in the same vein of experimenting within the creation of the new songs themselves, as he seems to be enjoying himself in the studio again.

Sounds interesting, but I'll pass.
I guess I'll still try to catch live TV performances and appearances, but until he releases a physical album, EP, or DVD video, "No More Money 4 P (From Me)".
I am happy for those who do listen to mp3s and are enjoying what they heard.

as far as buying music dirctly from Prince online, over the phone, or even in a store.... I have to say, that was pretty damn painless and straightforward.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Prince has never made up his mind about anything for more than 5 minutes at a time. You really should know that by now, instead of making far-reaching declarations about this prediction you've been making for the last year or two. After all, he said the Internet is dead two years ago, and now it's the only way to get his new music at the moment.

There are a lot of cheap bastards on this site. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!
