Unreleased Trax

How hard would it be honestly, to offer Unreleased Songs in high quality each month. Thats all I want. I want live material from 1984 - 1995. I want recordings from 1987 - 1996. His new live stuff is LAME. Lets be honest. It is LAME. He spends more time having the audience sing on his ONA album and then he preaches to us about the Gospel for Christs Sake. Open The Vault -- And charge us for it. We'll Pay. Then, when you make lots of $$$ go to a deprograming and leave the Cult your in. Then make some good music.

were u a member of his club the first year? I'd say it was an excellent year to get his music. There was one or two old tracks, but for the most part, they were pretty new songs...

but he did try the download thing...

As much as I would like that, I have to look within myself and wonder if I would like to expose any of my past works. I might not - depending on my current life or music style.

There was hope of this back in the mid 90s as he departed from WB, but nowdays I'd say forget about it.

The only excuse for this stuff not being released is Prince himself, not WB.

And with his recent shift in ideals, I doubt it even more.

I hope Prince's new releases will be in the same direction as "Rainbow Children" "ONA" and "Xpectation"- Let's let all that old stuff go...and the One Nite Alone shows were AMAZING! Not Lame- I like the boots over the box set, but Prince and his band put on the most flawless show that I've seen Ever!

I have to agree that the latest work is dull or lame as someone else said. The first year of the club featured some great music and was only spoilt by the fact that the download servers could not cope with the demand.

In comparison, year two was a disappointment. Only the late release of the download album made it not feel a ripoff.

TRC, ONA and surely Xpectation were recorded in 2001. Has Prince honestly not recorded any new material over the past year ? Is he washed out ?

Well, if the tour has stopped him recording then he's not the Prince that we used to know.

Co-sign.

Wouldn't be very hard at all.

I'd pay for the stuff.

Disagree about the 'lame' comment re: his live material. I think ONA Live is quite nice, and I know for a fact that his bands have only gotten better and better over the years. Listen to some of the older Revolution live material and tell me that any of those musicians can touch what he's working with now...

Anyhow...yes, Prince, please 'open the vaults'...
