The NPGMC

Am I the only one hear who is impressed with the way Prince has handled his career post 99.

I know the NPGMC has been slated a lot on here, fans not thinking its worth the money, and the lack of clarity in terms of what and when, but if you compile all the downlaods and cd's etc (not to mention the perks of soundchecks / aftershows etc), we've probably had access to more prince music (and to prince) than we ever had before.

Im in no way saying that it is perfect and there's a lot more Prince could do to make it a more complete music club that his hardcore fans would appreciated, but I commend the man for trying what other artists arent. How many other mainstream artists have had the bottle to go it alone like prince has, and actually succeed.

I never joined the club becaus ei couldnt afford the one lump sum of $100 at the time, but I certainly planned on joining it the next time around, however it looks uncertain itll be around in future.

Hopefully its gone away so that the NPG can amend it and bring it back better than ever!

Maybe we should also consider the quality of the music released through the club so far. Is this stuff in everyone's CD players as much as his earlier more complete albums, or even the bootlegs?

Nighttown has been in my CD player, as well as Disk 2 from the ONA set, and Xpectation. But I almost never listen to anything from Year 1 anymore.

Actually, We're servants of Satan, put on earth to terrorize music lovers, more specifically, Prince fans. And ruin an otherwise fantastic music club that provided timely content at an astonishing value.

or maybe it's gone for good because they don't deliver the service they promise to? I still haven't got my ONA CD set, despite repeated emails to, and replies from, npgmc.

If they can't deliver, don't you think they should offer refunds? I do.

Ask your credit card company to return the money to you.
Complain to the BBB.
Etc.
