NPGMC 2003 : what would it bring to us ?

Hi all,

Now that we know the NPGMC 2003 hasn't started yet, I would like to start this topic discussing the advantages and the drawbacks of a new year.

So, here are the two questions:
what would it bring to us?
would it be so good

Now, I am going to do my best to explain my point of view about a new year of the NPGMC. On the one hand, members do have a LOT of advantages. On the other hands, there are drawbacks and, in my opinion, they should be considered very seriously.

Throughout this message I will do my best to try to explain the NPGMC would not be such a good thing for all of us. Of course, please reply to it, especially if you disagree. And, this is not a "leftwing speech" as I was told in the past.

I do NOT want to create a charity or lobby against Prince NPGMC but only to to show a point, I think it is very important to point it out.

4 years ago, in order to get the latest Prince release, no need to have internet, no need to be the member of a club, ... Fans only had to go to a shopn they were al free to buy it or not and they ALL had to possibily to get it.

At the present time, information about Prince only goes through the NPGMC and the tabloids only talked about NPGMC during the ONA Tour. If someone doesn't have internet he just can't access news about his favorite artist (Prince), and CD's such as the ONA studio can't be bought. Only SOME fans can have his official music.

I say "free the music" and I am FOR the equality between fans. When I talk about the "freedom of the music" I mean the ONA studio can't be bought in shops/record stores and when I say "equality between fans" I mean those who don't have internet can't be or hardly can be members of the NPGMC. The system of NPGMC is a way to decrease the "audience" and does create many limits.

We are all sharing the same passion. And Before the NPGMC we were all equal. There wasthe same entrance for all (members and those who are not members). In my opinion, because we share the same passion, we should think about AL the people who are fans like us and just can't enjoy as much of Prince as we do for some reasons. We used to be all equal, we were torn apart, let us be together as one.

The two things that did divide fans were :
1) the entrance members and not memebrs, in some way the HAVE and the HAVE NOTS
2) And Prince saying during he regular show "You there in the good seats... you see you are up high ... join the club..." strange from a guy who talks about "his rainbow children". such sentences are in the official 3CD box set durign "Anastesia".

All members should get a personal phone call from Prince.

lol

We need some info/news about the future of the NPGMC (and some Celebration dates or lack there of while we're at it, too) from the source. That's all I would like.
