We were promised 4 albums last year but we've only had 3 (One Nite Alone, One Nite Alone Live, Xpectation)
Where's the 4th?

I read somewhere about a soundcheck album, but I haven't been emailed about anything.

There's not a soundcheck album, but there were 5 downloads collectively referred to as C-NOTE:

There are links posted on another thread here, but I don't think that the songs are still available for download.

I know that the download page for Xpectation isn't active anymore . . .

Well...[playing devil's advocate here]...technically, that AfterShow album is considered a "bonus," which implies that it is separate from ONALive

...I'm not saying it's right or OK...it just is

this is exactly what you recieved.

OK, I just checked, and they are NOT available for download anymore (not officially anyway). The link just takes you back to the NPGMC home page.

We were sent 4 CD's. We were provided with a 5th Album 'Xpectations' via download. In addition there were the C NOTE downloads. I'd say that was well over the '4 albums' quota.

Although we were only told that we'd get 4 CDs from the club, it is clear that it was intended as 4 seperate albums. Certainly, that was the assumption anyway seeing as in this day and age when someone says that 'Artist A' has got a new CD out, one assumes that it means a full album. The ONA tourbook also confirmed this by naming 4 seperate album titles.
Although the Club stuck with the 4 CD promise, it pretty much used the laziest way possible of getting them to us. A half-hour CD with a crappy cardboard case with only half of the songs being new, a wait of six months, and then the ONA Live CD set which we're able to buy elsewhere anyway.

4 CDs yes, but from a music perspective only (Not taking into account the lucky ones who got a concert privilege) it hardly made joining the Club for 2002 a worthwhile experience.

why so many member complain?
did they not read what they would get when the joined the club?
i did and it said clearly 4cd's, there was never any mention of any albums.

what about the Piano Cd does"nt that count as a cd,

what is the problem with that? The club clearly never tried to take away all the asumptions they created with misleading advertisemnts and wordings in specific offerings on the website.

because so many people have been either ripped off, treated like shit by the customer "service", did not get what they paid for, or are sick and tired of Prince business project get blown to waste by mismanagement, miscommunication and misleading advertising practices. Some people actually care that Prince get his business on the right track, but don't kiss ass at the same time.

Then you did not read everything. There were clear advertisemnts on the website and in the tourbook that the 100$ would cover AT LEAST 4 albums, whether they were double, triple or single albums. That doesn't matter. What matters is that they were promised 4 albums.

The promise was "4 CD's". I got 4, plus Xpectation, and an extra ONA CD. I guess that's more like 6.

how ever much you like to change the words, 4 cd's will always be 4 cd's. not 4 albums.

before you decide to join this year read what it says and then print it out, so this time next year you can remember exactly what was promised.
i did, thats why i know it was 4 cd's and no mention of any albums.

Why are u all still arguing about the doo-doo we received for 2002? Technically NPGMC fulfilled their requirements in terms of quantity... and then some.
