Yesterday was NPGMC's 10th b-day. That first year of the club was one of the best things Prince ever did IMO. new music every months, this was SO exciting!!!

It was a very good site. There was lots of things going on there. All the music one could buy, the mechandise shop, the music room, concert tickets, the forums etc.

I hope one day Prince will reconsider his place on the internet and create a place like that again.

Miss these days. I remember following the recording of Rave all through '99 on the site.

Too expensive for most fans - at the time I was a student and I didn't like the cliqueness it seemed to engender among fans that had joined vs those that hadn't and it seemed as a non member a bit cultish at times with VIP only stuff.

I preferred the virtual world NPGMC reincarnation of 2003 - 2006, at $25 was better and open to pretty much all.

Still, its nice to be able to hear the NPGMC ahdios now that they are free and circulating!

Loved it, did sign up, however it was too expensive for me. Never got the cd's delivered.

Did download one cd, and now feel stupid for not getting all that was put out there. Now I can't anymore.

IMO the NPGMC was pretty much a waste of my time and money, too few new tracks, merchandise FAR TOO expensive, users being banned and blocked for no real reason unless you agreed with the Mod's .......... then the classic ' there is no such thing as time' to which the reply ' our membership can't run out then '.

Pretty piss poor effort really...............

Loved NPGMC and everything that came with it, especially the celebrations, concert tickets, regular downloads of music and video. My only complaint is that the videos that I purchased and downloaded can only be played from my old computer hard drive. When I switched to a new computer, they could not be copied and transferred to the new hard drive. If I want to watch them, I have to unplug the new computer and plug in the old one! Has anybody found a solution to this problem that I don't know about? NPGMC was good times!!

It was not expensive in light of the content (year 1 i mean, year 2 WAS expensive). We had almost an album's worth of new material every month, which means less than 10 bucks per album.

Oh, also.......... if there is no such thing as time why do my tickets say 7.30pm!!!!

I have the same regret. Lesson learned about not assuming something will always be there for the taking.

I do hope Prince tries again with another website.

I joined when he dropped the membership price down (like $20 I think) and shortly thereafter (a year later???) the site shut down.

The sound of the water flowing and the birds flying in the bright sky made it all inviting. Although once the gates opened, the subscriber knew it was time to look and listen. Ahh, memories

I was a member while it was still expensive, then did not renew it and at last did just some weeks before it shut down. Lifetime membership .

NPG Music Club is missed ...

Indeed it is missed. I loved that place.
