I think it will, Prince would be silly to carry on with this "internet is dead to me" hooha. I think the low numbers who signed up for Lotus were a big disappointment for him, so it might take a while to heal that particular wound. But i think we will see another web venture from him one day.

Yes. I am guessing here, but it would make sense that Prince would offer his remasters for purchase through his own site since he has issues with other online retailers. This is in spite of Prince's former web site problems.
I don't think the business model of a paid membership would work anymore though. The content should be sold, not the right to access random content.

I certainly hope he does. I miss NPGMC & the AWESOME pre-sales for concerts. We were so spoiled with that for Musicology. Plus, PP could really control the content that was going out, at least to the diehards.
I hope by the "Internet is dead" theory that he just means music. I could see how that could be true as artists aren't as able to make money online, due to piracy, videos, etc, but the Internet as a whole is not dead.
I would expect him to continue pioneering & reinventing the Internet for the music industry (or at least himself) rather than brushing it off as a "dead" tool. That's what he would've done back in the day....

I do hope so!
But it was more than a website. It was a community. And it was another, and imo, more direct way of communicating with fans/customers/stakeholders. And to this day, there still ain't that many 'rock stars' out there that manages to do this in the same relational way (correct me if I'm wrong!?). At least not the type of musicians I listen too other than Prince.

Absolutely. Even thought I buy the CD anyways, Prince has 2 realize there's not enough people like me 2 give him any good sales.
