I'm surprised that people aren't talking more about the new items offered for sale on the retail part of the NPGmusicclub site, like the concert t-shirts and the tour book and everything else (although admittedly not everyone may want a candle with the word Xenophobia on it). All I've seen (besides posts about the calendar and ONAL) is a post from a guy complaining because he received an e-mail from the site advertising this new merchandise. Where's all the "this new stuff rocks" posts?

If a brand new CD/Concert DVD/Video had just been released through NPG Retail, I think that there would be a huge buzz.
The new items currently on the retail page do tend to give the impression that they're just trying to get rid of some of the stuff that didn't sell during the tour.
Prince should remember that all the NPG Stores shut down only a couple of years after opening. The NPG Stores were full of candles, clothes, condoms and perfumes, with very little in the way of exclusive music - we're Prince fans because of the music and the shops pretty much proved that there is only a very limited market for additional non-music related merchandise.
If NPG retail is to cause any kind of major stir, selling exclusive music is the way to do it.

Eye'm sure its GRADE A Princeypoo goodies, but eye'm not spending that much money on that silly stuff.

Bring on some music, eye'll whip out my card..

In my opinion if he is going to have the retail section opened there should at least be a website.

I'm not planning on purchasing any of this stuff until he at least brings the website or the club back.

I mean give me a break these are the same people that were saying non-members shouldn't even be allowed to go to the celebrations, I mean come on what is this an elitist group or something. I'm just hear because Prince makes the best damn music around and happens to be the sexiest guy I've ever seen.
