I just got the word from NPGMC after asking them to elaborate on the email that they sent me a few days ago. There are no plans for a celebration this year. Oh well, it would be close to impossible to top last year anyway

well this year was the only year i could go.had saved some money already .planned some vacation.and then you here its not gonna happen.
i have this feeling that there is not gonna be a npgmc 2003 also.very strange

Could someone please post the current emails from NPGMC. I want to see some proof.

maybe ... instead of a Prince celebration ... they are gonna have a Alicia Keyes celebration ... or a Macy Gray celebration ... some artist who is actually putting out some good music ... he he ...

And just because there are currently no plans for a Celebration or Music Club, that doesn't mean there won't be in the future. Maybe they're just working some shit out.

Spend that Celly money on yourself and some loved ones!

FACE did say it only went out to certain members, which seems to be the trend lately.

Like TRON stated, it seems they are working things out. I'd say if nothing happens before February 14th, I will start to think the club is no more.

I have to think that the Celebration is very profitable. Maybe the club is gone, but not the Celly?

We can only guess for now.

I think "there are no plans for X" from the NPGMC right now just means, "Prince is regrouping after a year of touring and has other things going on and isn't telling us anything right now, so as far as we know, he has no plans for anything beyond where he's going for lunch today, so bugger off, we'll tell you when we have any info."

At least I HOPE that's what it means, because I was going to go this year.

Why can't people just WAIT and see what happens? I don't I've ever seen anyone GUESS what Prince's next move will be, so save yourself some stress and WAIT.

I certainly hope there will be a Celebration this year as I went last year and had the best time of my life!!! I have been looking forward to Celebration 2003 since the moment I walked out the doors of Paisley on the very last night of Celebration 2002. I will be very sad if there isn't one this year.

Having said that, I can also understand how Prince might not want to deal with putting together a Celebration this year if the rumors of Mani being pregnant are true. He's been very busy this past year with touring and all, and if she's pregnant, maybe he wants to mainly concentrate on her and the pregnancy (which is totally understandable given what happened last time...)

But I'm with the people above - let's all just wait and see what happens in the next couple months.

Remember at last year's celebration he said something about doing this every year? But with the JW stuff and Mani I knew this kind of stuff,(No website, NO celebration, I knew it was just a matter of time. JWs think every thing is a sin and they take the joy out of everything,so it could be true.

Another thought on this, JWs don't have a lot to do with others that arenot JWs,so it could be true or maybe there will be one, who knows? Don't worry, he'll always have some way to take our money. Notice how there is no website but there is a way to send your money in?

Maybe you should put the JW thing aside and look at what Prince has done since he first started to be considered as a JW.

i think they don't tell what's up for 2003 yet .because they don't want to give false xpectations .

It's funny how hotels in Chanhassrn have indeed been informed that there will be one...tooth fairy I guess. NPGMC has NOT leaked any info on whether there will or will not be one to any members yet. I do believe that the hotels have been informed.

After I first read this post. I e-mailed the NPG and their response was, we have no confirmed info yet on a 2003 celebration.This is their exact response. It doesnot say there will not be one.
