This is old news, but like I have said time and again,... much to the chagrin of some of our fellow orgers,... that the year for the club runs Feb to Feb... not Feb to Dec.
I said it back in the beginning of December that there was still some things coming for this years membership... then came Xpectation. I will say it again... the year is not over yet... I believe more is to come. As for next years membership... let's not mistake this... the club is a cash cow for Prince and the NPG... there will definately be a club as long as there is interest in one! Next years memebership drive will begin in a few weeks... just wait and see... Prince needs us as much as we need/want him. There are more goodies to be had soon... count on it... | |

The NPGMC 2002 club ended on Dec. 31, 2002. The site said so, before it closed down... It's not a rumour.
But Prince is unpredictable, so maybe he's changed his mind and will give us more. But I doubt it. | |

If the 2002 club ended pn december then why would the downloads for Xpectation etc... were made available? "Goodness will guide us when love is inside of us... The Force will be with you, always" | |

I am very confused as to why people keep saying this. Didn't the NPGMC clearly state last February that they wanted to get all members on the same schedule/yearly cycle, instead of the more confusing method of having memberships last 12 mos. from the month the member originally joined (say May 200X-May200X for one person, July 200X-July200X for the next person, etc.) that the 2002 package would run from Feb. 2002 to Dec.31, 2002... I know I didn't imagine that. As for the recent downloads, I think those had more to do with Prince just being Prince and living up to his nature of being unpredictable; OR possibly it was his response to the whiners who felt the Club wasn't living up to its promises. I'd **REALLY** appreciate seeing some sort of text - from a Club email or taken from the NPGMC site - to support the claims that the club doesn't end until Feb. 2003, because I'm sorry but I think that's wrong. And I'm going to see if I can find text/quote/SOMETHING in regards to MY contention that the Club ended on Dec. 31, 2002. | |

I have posted this before, here is the original e-mail sent to existing members regarding 2002. Look at the part in bold near the bottom. I don't know how exactly to interpret it, it does say the whole of 2002, but being NPGMC it could mean anything! Personally I was led to believe that, while all members were being put on the same renewal date, we were still joining for a year, in other words Feb-Feb. The club obviously didn't end on 31/12/02 because we received further downloads.

Love4oneanother, The NPG Music Club 2002 Thats all fine and dandy they posted downloads on Jan 1, but the fine print of the club on the web site before they took it down explained that this year's membership expires 12/31/02. So technically the 2002 year is done. They bent the rules and posted some additional material after the date, but as a whole, there is no NPGMC site to browse, no real members section, tour info, etc. NPGMC 2002 is over. | |

Since the site did close in mid-December, the downloads were apparently a bonus. So I think it still holds true that our membership ended in December. We were just given a extra "hidden track" for the year. | |

I think its part of his belief (and the old calendar) where the New Year started sometime in Feb/March, as he once wrote on the L40A site that the New Year we celebrate is wrong as he went on about
SEPTember meaning Seven OCT meaning eight etc Still, he may be playing with you or they may have closed it, but somehow i think he'll surprise us. | |
