it's not like i'm a member; $100 was too much money for me to join prince's club. but i do wanna visit once in a while to check prince's discography, read through the crystal ball lyrics and what not. that was my intention to do today, but you know what: prince has decided to use the non-member-access part of the site solely for retail now! you can only buy stuff! it seems you can only learn about prince on his own site if you're willing to pay the $100. greedy bastard. love his music though..

If he's not with a record company he needs to make a living somehow, hence the $100 fee. If ur a fan pay it, if ur not then don't..simple as that. He'll always release stuff 2 retail so he is accessible 2 all not just 2 members.

prince can and should make money however he can if he wants to. he could probably make a ton by licensing his catalog for use in advertising but he doesn't much do that does he?

i think the retail section is a good idea. straightforward transactions. eliminates complaints about who said what and when.
