Hi friends, Just a thought has anyone tried 2 log in lately? I'm having probs with the sites security certificate (why i bother any way) It's suggesting i navigate away from the page i'm trying to access!

^ Make sure that your computer clock is accurate. If your clock is correct, then there is an issue with LFs certificate and/or your browser's security settings.

Someone might be able to explain it better than I can and the possible fixes.

Seeing talk about altering your credit card details made me try and login to the site.

However, like some of the others on here, both my browsers (internet explorer and firefox) have said it's an untrusted site and that there may be a strong possibility that someone is trying to inpersonate a site (not sure how someone could do that!!).

Anyway, I ignored the warning and attempted to continue to login. The url isn't just www.lotusflower.com anymore but in fact www.lotusflow3r.com/th3b0mb.html. I stopped trying to access the site immediately.

Looking closely at the additional piece of url I noticed that the name of the webpage was th3b0mb.html. Going by how Prince likes to use backward 3s to represent Es, this makes the additional piece of url spell out the bomb.

If the site has been compromised or hijacked by ne'er do wells, then there could be a huge virus or some other damaging code that is just waiting to be downloaded, ready to totally f*** up your computer.

I may be paranoid, but it's best to err on the side of caution. Click on it at your peril.

I think the domain to expired & was only renewed a couple of days ago. So it will take time for the renewal to propagate down.

This doesn't surprise me at all. lotusflow3r is another failed attempt to connect with fans, but it worked to suck $77 out of a lot of us. Come March, who's going to be renewing? Not me! The purple one spent way too much money on eye candy. If he wants to connect with fans, look at what U2 and many others are doing. U2 and others have free sites and actually communicate with their fans. I get my purple news from drfunkberry.

When I signed up for lotusflower, it really reminded me of the interactive PC game in the 90's... You navigate some Prince inspired artwork and then it's over. whoopie All the website offers is videos and pictures. Can probably find just as much content through google.

It's really apparent that Prince only cares about $$ now. After recently getting guitar hero and finding out that Prince poo-poo-ed the idea because he wouldn't get enough money really made me realize it. Everything in the past 15-20 years has been about money, not the art. And his music shows it. He doesn't realize that Guitar Hero and Rock Band are games, not replacement for playing the instruments. Jamming on prince trax would be the ultimate, but I can be just as happy with 100's of other artists who see it as I do -- it's the future of music.

Have been a #1 fan since '80, but he's not getting no money 2nite or ever from me... he should remaster his song from purple rain to green reign...

So if the site is messed up, probably will have to talk to my credit card company to reverse any charges if I can't cancel... anyways, just some ramblings from a disgruntled fan...

So is the site DEAD if so have they failed on the contract that they entered with us allowing us to be members for 1 year and the site has only lasted 9 months, so I ask will I get a re-fund or my BLOODY T-Shirt at last!
