Are you the one that posted some black and white sketches of Prince in the org artist forum of this site some time ago? If those were your sketches, those are awesome and very close to what Prince looked like in those drawings. You should repost them in the org artist section again. I remember all the compliments you received. See M...people remember and appreciate talent! You are nice, 2elijah

DWZ said: Zannaloaf said: I think the problem you have is not seeing how his focus HAS changed to making bank instead of creating like he used to. I'm not saying he lacks creativity, but everything seems money driven. Because of that people are now EXPECTING the business side to follow through. As they should. If you don't like someones creative output - discuss, gripe, get over it, whatever. But if you don't like someones business model and you are a victim - you have every right to complain AND seek justice. Prince has become that guy who every time you see him he punches you in the arm (for fun...lol) and on occasion he does not. So you let your guard down, only to be punched in the arm again. After a while you just keep your guard up, or possibly stop hanging out with the guy cause you are sick of it. You really can't dog people for trying to learn from Prince's past behavior when it comes to the way he treats fans. It's not THEIR problem. It's his. Also - he's not the only genius in the world. I know a few, and they don't behave like Prince. Leaping forward doesn't mean you have to land on your fans. I don't think or believe in "problems" that's a judgment of another's opinions based on the beliefs of another. What I am not seeing is ur opinion and it's not my truth. Please, it would mean a lot if u didn’t project on me, thanks dear 1 . It's nice 2 be able 2 share differents points of view and that's what plants seeds of growth. U have many valid points ur truth is important, I honor it. I say this if I may, I feel in my heart that if indeed he was focusing on just $ and materials 1 would say yeah, on logic from my statement above he is cuz that's what his fans want. It's what the world has become driven by for that 2 change it starts inside each and every 1 of us and what we need 2 do inside 2 find another focus. I ask myself, maybe it became making bank cuz he's trying 2 please evry1 all the time and the ego creation became his protection. People weren't in2 the "creativity" of Prince so much as they were in2 what they were getting for thier $'s worth.I said 2 myself, REMEMBER everything he is doing is coming out of his freaking pocket. I asked myself are people failing 2 see that fact? Then I had the realization he's not signed 2 a label that owns his soul yet gives him a front of money, so ALL of what he does he is paying out of his pocket. I'm not dogging any1, every1 has free will 2 think and feel what they wish. I am not judging, I was only asking for a shift of perception 2 understand or look at the whole picture,or even look at it differently, not just centered on self-centered needs. I was asking for a chillax, people getting rowdy over something that has yet 2 develop. All I was suggesting was when I let go and looked at it on a higher level I saw the truth, and gained some compassion. I observed that Prince is a human+being he's learning and growing 2, I just feel the "star" persona masks the fact that he is on journey just like us all. Ideals can become illusions of expectation, I wondered are fans demanding Prince 2 be what they want instead of loving Prince for who he his? Is that a 2 way street? Absolutely. We are mirrors 2 1 another. As much as the fans are going for his throat, he has created a reflection 2 change what he needs 2 in his self, again how I see it. Things need 2 change in him, which I think will very shortly, as much as things need 2 change in his fans. I'm talking about the change that needs 2 happen in humanity, from $ 2 love. As far as the Genius statement, this is how I view it from observation. I also know a few, not 2 mention Prodigies, (from the 1's I met they hate the labels of any sort which constrict them or make them feel caged, which I can understand cuz I am that way 2) It is extremely difficult for them 2 mold 2 the rules of society. It's very hard for them 2 be understood because they can't understand themselves. The always feel alone or misunderstood. So the actions that they go about doing are completely opposite than the norm, and it usually backfires. Cuz people say, "this is how it should be done" these are the rules of business and they have 2 be followed this way, it must be in alignment of what is controlled by society’s standards! LOL but I saw this when being around them, what makes a Genius a genius they think outside the box, and refuse 2 conform. They are free and emancipated; in other terms, it could be viewed as enlightened. They believe in thy self and live their truth 2 the fullest. Many have come and gone never 2 be really appreciated until many a moons after when humanity has caught up 2 the messages they spoke or the inventions or gifts they gave 2 the world. That's y I'm saying I learned 2 have compassion and understanding for Who and what Prince is. Then maybe people will not feel so victimized? I don't.. not 1 bit, I’m grateful. I do not choose the victim program it's pathetic and depressing. So again just my that’s the way I see it I’m a dreamer, and I am the change I wish 2 see in the world and I advocate other’s who are 2. [Edited 12/15/09 19:45pm] I respect your opinion as well. I also believe that people need to pay attention to the way they treat others no matter what path or journey they are on. My point of others that I know are in a very similar position as Prince. Paying for their own careers and tours out of pocket ...and yet they manage to balance the need to pay bills while respecting their fans. I have no expectation of this, but many people seem to excuse Prince's actions because he is somehow "different". I just don't buy that kind of a pass for someone just because they have talent. I also believe in observing actions. Prince's actions strike me as very self centered. Some things are pretty straightforward in regard to action represents motivation. That certainly won't change the world. PurpleRain747- nice work..I certainly appreciate it.

As for the t-shirts, I think when signing up the site mentioned 1 would receive a t-shirt for those that signed up early when the site first started. I KNOW THERE MIGHT BE THOSE WHOSE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A T-SHIRT AND THEY DID SIGN UP IN THE VERY BEGINNING. (((I NOT TALKING ABOUT YOU'LL))). Well- as a pattern - I see him disrespecting with hollow promises. Keep in mind he can afford people to do these things...follow through. But it ultimately comes down to the source of the activity. In this case it is Prince...even if that means Prince as a "creative entity" versus a person. Yes - we all have times where things don't work out as we have stated or would like. But once you see a pattern of behavior it starts to smell of the the original source having some issues. That unto itself is okay, but then you STOP moving forward with plans and products that continue to repeat the pattern that has caused others (if nothing else) stress due to your inability to follow through properly. If you don't then you are knowingly moving forward with ill intention, or at the very least not honest intention. To me that is disrespectful to people who continue to give you a chance to honor your own words or legal language. Even easier you could let your ego go for a minute and stop promoting things until they are real and ready to go. It's easy enough to be quiet and not brag about or pump up the next thing you are planning to do - and just do it.

well thanks to those who so eagerly swallowed Prince's bait . . . .he probably didn't pay the fees for his web design so instead sanctioned this paint-by-numbers Posters-R-Us mall-quality ghetto Photoshopped junk.
Thanks thanks thanks . . . Prince can prove he can sell ANYTHING and we like big dummies will buy it. Let's see, a $77.00 annual fee web site with no content to speak of after already soaking you for a "lifetime" membership web site. An overpriced Walmart Ipod Perfume and cologne Candles Clothes that look dorky on anybody except for Prince wow . . . just, wow. Every day should b a COSMIC DAY!

we should make a new web site designed after Prince's, but this time have three options to throw away your money, like a cauldron of acid, a brick fireplace and, lastly, Prince's wallet . . . . . .
then have a message board alerting the world of this scam-job con-artist that is no more honest than those guys playing with the three cups and a bean outside the subway doors. I have press contacts, someone else design a site. Maybe this time we will get another pissy-pants hissy-fit funk song, which will be more useful to us than poor-quality videos of Little Red Corvette and 1999. If I had the skills I'd have done it already. Then Every day should b a COSMIC DAY!

Man, you all are a trip.
I do not see how or why you all take it so personally: the different sites thru the years and all that. Just buy the music and go to the concerts and save your $ for other things you like that you know won't let you down. Erp ... My bad, everything let's you down in this life. Haven't you learned? Anyway ... (Seems like 6 out of 10 people come here to complain about Prince and his music business decisions and what not). If you just buy the albums, keep the one's you like, sell the one's you don't like on eBay, you should be happy. Nuff said ... Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

Also just an observation but it was the ARTIST Anothony's art show of Prince not Prince's artshow of Anthony. Looks 2 me like he gave the reigns 2 Anthony for his own artwork 2 have a gallery of it. He was in a round about way supporting the Anthony and his art. I think that shows Prince is willing 2 let people in 2 his world a bit more. Oh and about the Opus, the artist does them for people he is an artist as well, he has done 1 for MJ recently, again maybe P thought that it was an awesome cool idea 2 go with his own *Spiritual Opus* and let the man do 1 for him.. He is giving back 2 those who have bought it with a private concert and 21,000.00 in $ 2 a lucky winner. So yeah I think it makes sense in an econonic "crisis" 2 hit up new markets or try new venues and reach in2 the pockets of those who have the dough. Enticing them with things they flock 2... Side note I beleieve he has taken care of the "fans" or those who don't really have a grand 2 fork over economically by having a concert at the park and only charging $31.21.. That's pretty inexpensive 2 me. I think is awesome 2 see someone getting clever and wise in the time of the *Economic illusion* Just my

Depends. If you are an established artists with a following - you would be right. But he's not. Anyone who is new to the scene MIGHT get $1000 for an original work of art. but hey- if he can get it...by all means do. I like seeing artists get paid!

I respectfully disagree PurpleLove. There is nothing wrong with expressing an opinion about wanting music on a music site. with all the innuendos about what could possibly be on the site, trying to sell people a thousand dollar PRINT, feels like a slap in the face.

Did he paint this stuff or did he just create them on a computer? I agree with you to some extent but, when Prince says he's going to do this or that with a "website" (or whatever other projects) I have learned over the years he does not do 1/2 of what he says. In some respects he reminds me of the parent that promises their child the world and then they just get Florida for example. I'm just happy that since I've been fan since 1996 that my man is still making music (I like/love). I love this experience and I own all the albums, a lot of the singles (on CD) and a lot of the Related Artist projects as well. That's 1 of the reasons I just stick to the music. I expect he'll still be selling and making music til he's 6ft deep. Honestly, that's all I expect from him, is just music. I was a member of NPG Music Club since year 1, it's gone, that's fine, I think and, yes I miss the site to this day but I'm not gonna be resentful about it or toward P. I am a current member of Lotusflow3r.com and I joined just to get the download of the album before it went to Target and if there was more to it then, that's cool too. I do not take anything he does or say to be "the gospel" of Prince and he GUARANTEES me this or that, I learned a long time ago not to expect guarantees out of him for anything besides a new album, if that. I just keep in the back of my mind: that he's spoiled, rich and he's an eccentric musician and artist who has a cult following of fans, some since 1979. I'll buy the album until he stops making em. Whatever, it brings me joy. Oh and your point is understood and ... Respected. [Edited 12/17/09 17:38pm] Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

$1000 for a print? Someone is having a laugh. I collect art prints, but would never spend that amount on a print like this. If they were signed by Prince... maybe! Banksy's last print (Edition of 250) was £460, and now worth triple that. These will not be worth the paper they're printed on!

We are so excited, shame nobody else is, to announce that our brand new and unique shite exhibit from Prince was a huge success! The response was amazing, boasting only staff and hangers' on who came together to make the opening party at the San Francisco Art Exchange in downtown San Francisco a wonderful farce.
Prince has never released artwork like this before, he used to know better, so naturally the response has been almost non-existant! Collectors as well as buyers from around the world have ignored one or more limited edition prints from this inspiring body of tosh to use in their personal collections or toilets of their own. One collector insisted on purchasing all 7 pieces for his collection! Before being escorted back to his secure psychiactric hospital bed, given some medication and strapped down for his own good. Additionally, many LotusFlow3r members haven't shown even the slightest interest. LotusFlow3r members saved $150 or more off their fine art purchases! Simply by ignoring Lotushow3r. Keep in mind, these are exclusive fine art prints with a limited production of only 99 per image. They are all signed by Prince's lead designer, Anthony Malzone alongside the iconic Prince Love Symbol which has been hand embossed into each print. Each piece measures 24" x 36" and is printed as a giclee digital print using high quality archival inks on acid free archival paper, so they shouldn't burn your arse if you choose to wipe using these. As mentioned, this is the first time Prince has released anything like this. Hopefully the last. The project falls perfectly in place with his unbound creative impulses to explore his Narcissistic tendancies, new media and participate with his fans. Ignoring the fact that they'd much rather HEAR something from this MUSICIAN instead of being offered ridiculously priced over indulgent 'postcards'. As a member, you can still use your code to apply a 15% discount upon purchase at the San Francisco Art Exchange website at check-out. Just follow the prompts. Then get yourself along to the Doctors, tell them what you've done and you should be sectioned as quickly as possible and given the appropriate medication... Deliveries are being processed on a first come first serve basis. Until, after a few years of no-sales, they will be incorporated into some stage backdrops, of course, if you have already purchased one or more of these images, congratulations!
