It's really unfair that that happens Nick, but I expect it to. It happens from members sharing and now Prince is doing it. I really don't see the point of an official site. Not without boards anyway.

I think he should stop worrying about websites and concentrate on albums and tours. If he wants to release some old vault stuff then do it the regular way, for everybody. No people sharing, no people feeling suckered, less illegal copying, just music in the hands of whoever wants to go buy it.

After watching the Tavis interviews, I think Prince is done with major tours. I think he will play shows here and there, but I think he is tired and just wants to do what he wants to do.

Personally, since he doesn't want to do the big tours, I think he should do a few concert and put together a DVD for those fans who can't buy tickets fast enough. Was their a DVD release of 21 Nights in London? Their should have been. Infact INSTEAD of a CD the book should have come with a DVD.

I agree with you. I would have preferred a DVD chronicling the 21 Night stand in London instead of the horrible after-show cd that was included. It would have made much more sense to do that and he would have sold more books.

I hate to say it, but I think I would be a sucker again. I don't know why, but if I don't join, I feel as if I may miss something.

Man im deffo not signing up 4 anything else-no matter what is offered

its like now-i signed up-and as good as watching vids on my p-c is-its only now that somebody else-not the official folk i'll add-someone has put together the wonderful Lotus tv TRW

FINALLY-able to watch all the good stuff from Lotus on my home cinema

soooo

even if there is a year 2-which i seriously doubt

whats the point

1. whatever is offered-will eventually be 'out there' for all-as everything is these days weather you join or don't

2. even if they do offer tix-in the middle of the night-without prior notice-for some1 that openly admits touring is now out.....?

i still love his music-but will be avoiding paying now wherever possible. I didn't even get Lotus for £8-99 recently-REALLY had to force myself NOT to get it. I think since 1984-he's had enough of my cash and to repay that loyalty with LetusFUover.con still smarts some eek

Yep....I would.

Although, this is the first time I have really felt "duped". All of the other times, I feel I got my monies worth.

so-the latest site was kinda the straw that broke the camels back for me

its not just the site-its the crazy way it came about-this year has been the maddest year as a fan i can remember-his way of doing things is getting impossible and a bit ridiculous although as he keeps saying

Are u referring to 3121? He didn't abruptly close the NPGMC. He promised 1 year each time and that's how long the club was open. If you joined late, for whatever reason, then that was ur choice.

He did not promise a year each time. Once members paid the 25 bucks in 2004 or 2005, they were told they were members for life and didn't have to reup. And yes, he did abruptly close the club. Those of us who were regular posters did not get a chance to say goodbye or get contact info from people we had spent years chatting with online.

True, I joined in 2005 during the last month the club was open, but I didn't know that because the term "lifetime membership" did seem to suggest a one time fee without the need to renew. Nowhere did the membership agreement indicate that the club was closing the next month, so when that happened I was really upset. After I found out that all the licences of the albums I bought the previous month were disabled, without me having the time of burning them on a CD, I became really angry !

I vowed to never again join a Prince Music Club and I have not regretted it since. I'll keep buying CD and DVD's but never again digital downloads.

Well, my understanding of 3121 that it was a "lifetime membership" to 3121. When 3121 closed, that lifetime was over. The "lifetime" lasted for 2 years. 3121 went for the albums 3121 and PE.

You are mistaken. 3121 was never a paid website, NPGMC was and Vendetta is correct. He did close it very abruptly on July 4, 2006 with less than an hour's notice. I happened to be online when it happened.

Initially membership was 100 dollars a year. That was changed to 25 dollars lifetime membership. At the time I understood lifetime to mean the lifetime of the club itself rather than the individual member.

I haven't joined Lotusflower.
Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.
