These are the original wmv files right? If so, you'll have to convert them to mp3 or m4a to play them on an ipod.

Thank you - yes they are original wmv files. Is it easy to convert them?

There are plenty of programs available. Just google "convert wmv to mp3" and find the program that's most suitable for you. I use MediaMonkey for all that kind of stuff, plus it's ipod compatible and a lot more user-friendly than iTunes. Alternatively, if you've got Windows Media Player, you could just burn the wmv's to an audio CD and then rip the CD to mp3.

use an analogue recording device. These are designed specifically for recording sound instead of numbers, and may just cure your asthma also.

iTunes will automatically convert wma files to mp3. Remember that Widows Media Player will leave gaps between songs, so you might want to burn CDs with Nero or Toast for gapless playback, if that's how you want to convert your wma files.

Also, Free Audio Converter works with all kinds of file conversion scenarios and is easy to use: http://www.dvdvideosoft.c...verter.htm

I nearly posted this but I'm guessing daisychain actually still has her WMA with DRM intact. I don't think iTunes can transfer and automatically convert licenced WMA's.
Just somewhere in the middle,

I did it with my DRM'd NPG wmas. In fact, those are the only wmas that I have even tried it with.

If you are burning mp3s to CD, sometimes the files are encoded with a padding gap, depending on how they were converted originally - seems to be an issue with LAME encoded mp3s especially. You should convert mp3s to WAVs using the above Free Audio Converter before burning to CD. The resulting WAV "shell" should dispose of the gap that exists in the mp3.

iTunes does support gapless recording. You have to set it in your prefs.

Nero works wonderfully, but is costly if you don't already have it. Free Nero alternatives are here: http://www.makeuseof.com/...vd-burner/

I guess you just have to try them and see which works best for your needs.

Here is a program that seems to be popular and too: http://www.imgburn.com/

Also (I haven't tried it, but it may have a gapless setting): http://www.dvdvideosoft.c...Burner.htm
