If there is something I have learned from Prince...

...it is Patience.
Normally first you get nervous, then angry, in the end satisfied.
I would say relax, the max is in control.

yeah -me too.....

i've learned he can be isolated greedy f*%$er that gets kicks from causing a fuss-and not always in a good-fun way. He makes cool music-but man are there many sides to him-not all good-and all the stuff we could 'learn' from him aint so great either aside from the music eek

ps-AND....

for me-in all this-thats the rub ! It's not like the music is lame-like Planet Earth. Musicology and 3121 weren't bad albums-but Lotus is superb-all 3 discs.
So-why the heck all this crap marketing was needed is baffling-i mean-at the moment-there really is no point to the site whatsoever-and its fairly easy for him to stop all this negative stuff-it has gone beyond ''we don't wanna spoil the suprise''....i can't even imagine he thinks this is remotely funny anymore

so-u say patience.....

fair comment-im actually a little jealous i dont have your capacity for waiting-and i do mean that-but wait for how long ?

Its alomst a quarter done-I'd rather moan now-and possibly get something than wait until it's too late

although-sadly-im getting to the point of-we passed that stage already-for me-i',m afraid its gonna take alot to trust paying for something upfront like this ever again. I know he aint gonna put anything i REALLY wanna see/hear up. If he was-surely he'd havr done it-unless he feels he did already..... Thats the only way i can explain the current situation

Gonna disagree with you there - none of them are superb. Mediocre filler, at best.

Bria Mayte Carmen Tamar Valente sounds like every other half-assed songbird out there. The majority of that album you can throw away.

Lotusflower, well you lost me at the title. The best part about this album is the wicked guitar playing ... unfortunately it's buried so far deep in the mix you can barely hear it. Just mute the lyrics, get rid of the tired synthesizer and D&G references (it ain't 1983 no more!) and turn the guitar up. Then maybe you've got something other than Prince sounding bored. (The Morning After? Ugh)

MNPLSND is the best of the lot but again sounds very dated. 3 or 4 songs bounce, and the rest sounds like stuff that wasn't good enough for the Dirty Mind album.

I'd like to know one thing - whatever happened to Prince the Songwriter? He used to be a master songwriter - beautiful lyrics that, when combined with his superb musicianship, told a story like nobody else could. Where'd that guy go?

Where's today's "Starfish & Coffee"? Where's today's "Condition of the Heart" or "The Continental". Those songs move you - the new ones not so much.

In fact, if you took the decent songs off Musicology, 3121, Planet Earth and the Lotusflower/MNPLS disc you might have one kinda decent CD.

C'mon Mr Nelson - surprise us!

in the strangest of places
if you look at it right."

well-now he puts alot of boundaries on his songwriting-like his religion for example-so he's actually less 'free' as he ever was. Gotta be careful saying this-can't say that-its amazing he still geta a fair amount of stuff out

I've learned that I enjoy Prince much more when he does not have an active website. 2006-2008 were, in my opinion, years that were virtually headache free. Then came www.lotusflow3r.com and as far as Prince goes it has been a fairly frustrating year.

I'd be happy if he just released cd's and gave up on having a web presence. It's obvious that he is not going to use the web to it's full potential so why bother with it at all?
