I think you need to remove the "I didn't join" option. The question is, "Are you satisfied with your Lotusflow3r.com membership?" and if one didn't join, the question does not apply to them. You aren't asking "DID you join?", you're asking "For those who DID join, how do you feel?" And when you take out the irrelevant replies, the results are going to be more accurate, 'cause way more than 60% of the members are dissatisfied with it. It is not difficult to figure out. There are currently 56 lotusflow3r members that have participated in the poll. 48 of them are dissatisfied or 86%! Now that is significant! Wake up!......Wake up! | |

Jethro, while I do think your letter is very well written, I do disagree with the part that states "nobody is happy". I looked at what articles I could find and none of them promised anything. There was nothing that I could find that said the site would be updated regularly. There was nothing I could find that said the site promised music that had never been heard before. There were comments that these things were possible, but only possible, not certainty. It sounds to me that the creators were looking at the potential of the site, not necessarily what Prince intended with the site. I'm neither happy with, nor unhappy with, the website. I didn't purchase membership with any expectations regarding what could be on the site, except for the Lotusflow3r album. As the year goes by, I may revisit how I feel about the site, but at this time, I'm willing to wait and see what happens. The site opened in March, it is now June. It hasn't even been a complete 3 months yet. There are still 9 months in the year, and I am willing to see what is brought forth in those 9 months. | |

I agree with this, there were absolutely no promises made, only possibilities were offered. However, the lack of updates is dissatisfying. I hope we can look back on the year as being good value but they need to get their asses in gear. RIP  | |

I personally, and I would think many others were also swept up in this publicity. Which I feel was a specific marketing strategy designed to lure in die hard fans. I signed up to this website thinking it would be along the lines of NPGMC, a site that I was not a member but there seems to have been more regular updates. There were monthly radio jams for example. All that has been aval is a cd that I could have got for $11.00 from a friend. The only things that are aval that were not broadcast or I cannot buy elsewhere are 2 performances from coacehlla and one unaired leno broadcast. That to me, does not warrant the money i've spent. And I believe that the only content we will ever get is stuff that is/was already aval. And that was the purpose of my email. I would certainly hope that we see something of this music over the next 9 months. I seriously don't expect to get 10 cd's worth though.

The thing is though, we aren't even a quarter of the way through the first year. It would be crazy and totally unacceptable if nothing more substantial comes our way for our $'s. They need to do something to bring in the new members, at least all those who have voted that they didn't join, in the org poll. They surely can't just sit back now and think that's it, can they? If we get to the end of the year and it only offers a little more than is there now, I'll be as pissed off as the next person. RIP | |

I probably haven't had as much experience as other fans. I was very happy with the NPGMC and what it delivered. I think deep down, that's why I'm not completely pissed yet. I'm hopeful that something will turn up to make the $77 fee seem like it isn't a rip off.

Anyway... I completely agree with every word you wrote Jethro - it was respectful and concise. I'm really annoyed by the lack of content over at lotusflower (as you can probably tell from my numerous posts on related threads). In my opinion, the only way that they're going to take any notice is if they get an inbox full of similar emails - then the admin staff would be justified in bringing ours concerns to Prince's camp. They're gonna look a little silly phoning up or emailing to say 'we've had 3 complaints today', whereas theyd HAVE to say 'we've had 239 complaints today... Maybe we should do something, before the media become interested'. I'd happily help to organise something and will gladly put my name to a petition if things dont happen on that site, very soon. I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

Cuz I send an e-mail (with a lot of similar points, so I fully agree!) to them also, a few days ago. Haven't heard anything back yet. But trust me.. they KNOW. I told them (also with a lot of respect) that the site has so much potential etc. but that I hear nothing but negativity on the board because of the lack of (relevant) updates over there. I told them to be very careful, cuz there might be a lot of fans who want to stop their membership at the end of the year. So... they absolutely KNOW how we feel, the question is... will Prince respond with some new/old unreleased music/videos or... will he run away with the money. MPLSOUND | |

But the people recieving the mail; they probably have little control. I always have visions that it is prince, with an imac on that silly chair from the rave dvd. But I think that is a little silly.
I am going to get a petition done, I am just super busy with job applications. Unless anyone wants to give me an assistant psychologist position? Any nice clinical psychologists out there?
