ONA Value on invoice? In the Fed-Ex envelope I found an invoice.
It stated 'unit value (USD) 5.00' Furthermore the invoice was prepared by one Sandy Motzko at Paisley. She signed the invoice thereby declaring that the info on it is true and correct. Guess they all had 2 do that 4 the ENTIRE shipment?!? Send out dec 9, arrived in Holland dec 11, not 2 bad... Now of and listening to my newly obtained 'GIFT-PROMOTION CD SET; NO-RESALE VALUE' whahaaa Lutzaluv, d'r Thei "Later, when I grow up, I... eh, I...."

Any CD isn't worth more than $1 in material anyway, right?

Frank's correct, if they had listed it at $50 value then us folks in the UK would have had to pay +£10 in duty and handling fees.
All praise to the club for getting this one right. RIP

All praise to the club for getting this one right. is it worth whats on the receipt or is it worth what you get from? i am very looking forward to it - and if the receipt says, it is 50 cents - for me it is 3 hours of best music - for sure this is worth more than 5 dollars!

You are absolutely right, although I think you misunderstood my point. I was not referring to what it is really worth. The point made was that Her Majesties customs in the UK will charge import duty on an item, if it is shown on the packaging as worth more than approx $18. That would have meant that not only would we have paid $100 for membership, we would have to cough up again before we could get our hands on the music! I was just praising the club for making sure this didn't happen. RIP

To help explain here is copy of an e-mail from me and the reply from NPGMC from back in April. I am glad they did remember because the monetary value of the ONA Live box set would have been more than £18. As you can see back then I was an excited NPGMC member and not the jaded realist that I am now
High We do not have specific info on the CDs yet but we do xpect 2 send them separately and we will try and remember the 10 USD value. At 07:53 AM 4/25/2002 +0100, you wrote: Dear NPGMC I recently ordered 3 items from the NPGMC Retail section totalling $50, standard shipping charge $15. Grand Total $65 (approximately £40-45). It arrived within 7 days which was pretty good IMHO. Thank-you. The thing is, when it arrived, I also had to pay UK Royal Mail £13.70 (Import Duty, Import VAT, and a Consignia handling fee). This was before they would give me my package. It was a customs charge for packages with a value of £18 or more, entering from outside the European Community. They had based the value on the NPGMC invoice inside the package. Do you think we will have to pay this customs charge for our membership CDs when they arrive? I guess you will not be charging us for shipping (I hope) and that any invoice will say that they are free (because we have already paid our $100 or approx £72)? To clarify, here are two questions that perhaps you can answer. 1. Could you state on your invoice/declaration that the goods are free of charge with a 'nominal value for customs 10 USD'? 2. Will you be sending out the NPGMC 4 CDs separately? Okay and a third question! Sorry! What is the latest news on the CDs has Prince decided on anything yet? I am too excited at the prospect of some new music! Thanks Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.
