that would be nice indeed. thanks to a computer crash I lost all my downloads from that era. so I don't have the original versions of s&m groove and my medallion or madrid 2 chicago. it would be nice if we could get them back.

Always wondered why Housequake.com or Prince.org (the only one left now) never had contact about this issue, they have contact with Prince his management or whatever, when they go to far in using video or pictures.

So... Moderators of Prince.org, can you get an answer of getting our downloads back, this must be discussed and Prince can only benefit from getting our downloads back, a new deal should be made possible.....even if he resales them in a CD-package with all NPGMC downloads from the past

I think it's wishful thinking, because s&m groove was cleaned up for it's release on the slaughterhouse. so we will never hear the original version again. too bad I've lost it.

Backing up your important files to multiple places should be a regular task. But it would've been nice to offer recovery downloads to members, even if for a limited time.

I recently discovered that I can't retrieve mp3s I've purchased/downloaded from Amazon. You get one download, that's it. Does anyone know if iTunes is the same or can you re-download things?

It really sucks when you can't re-download stuff that you've paid for. I was looking for a software file that I needed to complete a 3D Animation. I bought the file 3 years ago and it was more than likely on a hard drive that died on me a few months ago. This morning at 3am, I needed that file really bad.

I went to the website where I bought it originally and was about to buy it again when I noticed the cutest little button that said RESET-DOWNLOAD. I hit that button and my original download became active again. That's how you make customers happy! I was so happy that I bought something else from that company that cost more than I was just about to spend.

I hope some of you remember my efforts to distribute the "one nite alone" piano cd amongst the orgfans who didn't have this cd I hope someone could return the favour

I can't understand why Prince did that to that song...why not just edit it properly...it just ruins the flow of any music to have it suddenly loop backwards...ruins the song IMHO...

I wish there was a way to get all that stuff back...I lost them all: a great video of Bambi (with Milenia singing a line from "And God Created Woman"), the Ruby Skye video, and Prince jamming with Maceo, and many more. Oh if only there was a way to get all that stuff back. If only there were a way...

Now, if Prince was smart he would have incorporated something in his new venture to allow these files to be played.

I don't think Apple would reinstate an entire library, but I have contacted them to re-download a few individual tracks. They just give you a "song" credit (which is different than 99 cents) and then you re-download your song. That credit is more like a Pepsi cap code than real money.

What Apple did do is to make it easy to get your purchases off of your iPod and back onto your computer. There's a setting in iTunes to do that.

The reason I don't go "hunt down" the Musicology Store downloads illegally is because the quality can't be guaranteed. You are relying on someone else's CD burning and ripping -- if they burned their DRM WMA files at max speed and ripped them on an old computer drive, your quality won't be as good. Even with the best setup, you're talking about a Lossy-Lossy transcoding, which isn't good. I'd rather get non-DRM files from the source.

I have all of the NPGMC downloads that were part of the membership, just not the paid downloads.
