Well, I received it & it's basically a 3 page F-U. Makes me really proud to be part of such a FAMily. Interestingly enough, it wasn't quite the club who replied, but the law firm representing them (this is clear from the absence of Princespeak).

I'm filing papers for my emancipation from this abusive & constricting family.

For the curious, I've sent the content of their reply for posting. I blotted out the names & that sort of thing, so they may or may not post it.

Incidentally, I've gotten boxes of Godiva chocolate more sturdy than the ONA box....what a joke.

The BBB forwarded my complaints to them & the legal representation for Paisley Park responded, claiming their interest in seeking a solution that would satisfy all parties. That is what I expected & gladly submitted a specific summary of my concerns as they requested. However, their complete refusal to cop to any of the complaints certainly does not satisfy this particular party by any stretch of the imagination.

Well, I think I got my money's worth just being able to get preferential treatment at all concerts and aftershows. I feel any cd's, that are sent to me is just icing on the kick ass cake, that I have already shared with the rest of the fams. I AM and ALWAYS will be a PRINCE, O+> or whatever else he decides 2 call himself. I feel that it should be about, and only about HIS music. I don't dress like Prince, I don't look like Prince and I don't stalk him either. I am however, totally in awe of his musical GENIUS! He is not perfect, he is a human being and is not a PRESS or Record Industry Darling! "WHO CARES?" I have some great memories of great performances and one day I will tell my grandchildren or great-grandchildren that I witnessed a musical genius in his PRIME. Prince is a legend! And I thank him 4 the RIDE!

I don't know who said it.. i think JohnL said it. Change is Good. This was just an experiment that barely succeeded and unfortunately failed for some, mainly driven by some over-hype of expectations.

If they promised things would happen this year, and the year hasn't finished yet, how can you complain yet ?

Personally I'm happy. But only because of the after-show I saw and the good seats I was able to buy for tha main shows. 3 CD's of live music doesn't count as "new" music in my mind, but I'm willing to wait and see what happens.

Perhaps the club should offer its services seperately; register with the club for access to ticket presales $30. prepurchase 4 CD's of new music $50. Rehersal passes $20. I know this isnt a perfect plan, but at least people wouldnt have to pay for things they cant or wont be able to use.

I really think the club should close down for a while and reorganize. They should have their products ready to go before they start taking money from us. The waiting and the speculation, and the overall lack of information is creating too much trouble.

Here is what I got for my membership and the estimated retail value :

One Nite Alone album - $18
Boxed set - $55

That alone is $73.

I got into a soundcheck which I would have paid
at least $60 for ... at least !

I got into an afterpary which I've paid $30 for in the past.

That is nearly $150...

come on... I agree that it sucks that not much is exclusive to the members but what can you do...

My suggestions are that he seriously consider releasing some real vault gems like 'empty room', 'old friends 4 sale the original verison', large room etc.

Also, a live DVD would really make members very very happy.

So essentially, the extra $52 I spent got me nothing more than a few minutes of a soundcheck and the right to pay full price twice at his concerts. I'd gladly trade the soundcheck experience for $52.

That is why the club should end the year by dropping a couple of downloads of songs that weren't included on It Ain't Over, such as a recording of Calhoun Square, Dolphin or Empty Room from one of the European or American aftershows.
