No Sheila E. credits on ONA live Hi,
I've recieved the box set yesterday, but I have noticed some strange things. For instance, there is no mentioning of Sheila E. in writing on the set. Which is kinda strange, because she can be heard on 2 tracks. Another one, there's no mentioning on ?uestlove. He was present at the NYC aftershow (playing drums?). Kinda strange... Yeah, I thought the same thing. Maybe Sheila's record company doesn't allow a contribution. "Don't hate me 'cuz I'm fabulous!" | |

There is a credit for Najee, it's on the back of the small CD case booklet of ONA...Live.
Another interesting observation is that there is no mention of who wrote the songs - except for those not written by Prince on It Aint Over. As for Sheila E, when Prince says her name on It Aint Over, it sounds as if he's talking to the guitar player, for instance, he says "Just Sheila and the drums" or something, then the drums and guitar play solo (maybe she was playing guitar? - I doubt it, it sounds like Prince to me). There is also a picture of her in the large booklet playing percussion. Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com
