I said this would happen because people couldnt keep they opinions to themselves. I have sooo happy with my box set it is the first thing I have received but if I hadnt received it then I would still be kool its $100 at the end of the day look at how much music the man has given us all over the years.

I have emailed the npgmc to check whats the problem and to thank them for my cd.

Probably so they can update it.
Maybe a whole new look for 2003 !?
Will there be CD's again next year ?
Will it be downloads like last year ? ...

My guess is they have taken it down because they can can't cope with the complaints.

Their fault, not ours.

By the look of a few of their emails, they have completely cocked up the mailing of ONA Live.

This will break their commitment to get it to club members first.

Solution, take the site down, including the terms and conditions!

Negative I know, but thats my guess.

Too much negativity people! The site is probably down because it's due to be overhauled. A fresh new site for 2003, coinciding with the Leno appearance would make a lot of sense...

If he's going to heavily push this album, he should definately give it a lot more attention on the homepage.

Although I've heard it's only going to get a US release, like The Rainbow Children !!

Now it´s here. It is great.

A while ago a friend and I discussed the greatness of the old LP covers; pictures and text are greater in a bigger scale.

NOW I sit here with the box set (cd´s), the book are BIG, not as big as LP size, but big enough to make the pics. and text look good, and makes u feel that u got something special.

Listening to it wright now; I CAN NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT BEING A MEMBER WHATSOEVER; THIS IS GREAT.

I sure dont hope that prince/NPG and the MUsic club take the negative debate (on here) seriously.

Let me ask U (the pesimistic´s): did U ever experince something quite like this ?; it´s ORGINAL AND NEW, in a lot of ways. (distrubuting, musical and spiritual)

Sure I will join for next year, if u all did´nt fuck it up and made this project, wich is so important for the consumers and the "buisness", go down.

This set is the finest EVER I bought from Prince.

nb. sorry for my bad spelling; I am danish, u know.

Love

Henrik: the dane from sweden.

Actually, if the rumor of a lawsuit is true...then the possibility of the site being purposely removed from access is a reality.

The easiest way to stop activity on the site is to take it down, while litigation proceeds...

Just a guess, as this is PURE RUMOR.

I'm suspicious this is a joke.

I find it difficult to believe they would suddenly remove the site with absolutely NO warning beforehand, or without an explanation emailed to the members concerning the situation.

And why would the signature on an email from NPGMC, IF they actually had "taken the site down", still include a link back TO THE SITE? So people can click on a link that takes them to a dead site? Huh?

I agree with those who've said things are likely down for an overhaul to coincide with Prince's appearance on Leno this Friday. I'm sure the Club is counting on his appearance generating interest from potential new members, and they'd like the website to reflect the current release of ONA-Live.

That said, what do I know? confused I certainly hope they haven't really decided to take the site down. sad

I hope so too, but you don't need to take down a site completely to update or redo it. biggrin

It does sound that way judging from my comment, I know. Actually, I have been an NPGMC member for this last year and I've been a Prince fan for the last almost 20 years, so I do know the score as far as how communication stands between them & the fans/members.

They don't tell us anything!

*sigh* I know.

I just still do find it so hard to believe they'd take the site offline indefinitely without notifying the members first about what was going on! That's a major development and it amazes me they'd do it without making an announcement of some kind.

I guess in my heart I am trying to be: 1) optimistic, 2)hopeful, 3) keeping the faith for the Club. Either that or: 4) naive.

OOps, from the link above my reply: Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to an unanswered complaint.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the website being down

I doubt Prince would take the site down permanently just as he's about to go on national television to promote his new album.

Theres obviously alot of changes going on an their hosting company.

They only post something there like once every 3 months anyhow.

Distributing? Hardly. Ever heard of on-line shopping?
Musically? Hardly
Spiritual? HAHAHA

Sure I will join for next year, if u all did´nt fuck it up and made this project, wich is so important for the consumers and the "buisness", go down.

If the club goes down it isn't because of the complaining, it's because of the fucked up business they run. It's their fault, not ours.

That's right! This is a forum run by Prince fams! That means that nobody is more positive about Prince than us. Now if we complain so much, you can bet your *ss that something is definitely wrong!

I think a lot of people can relate when I say that I'm afraid when somebody askes me what new music I've gotten this year from Prince...

1 piano cd with 37 mins. of new music. No wait, about half of that because we got the other half last year already. But they sent me the album twice though! *sigh*
