Judging by the attention paid to it since its launch, I'd say it's already dead.

My suggestion - post a new vintage vault track (available to purchase) either each week, fortnight or month (my pref obviously would be each week). Now then you would grab the interest of all current fans and those that gave up with Prince's previous attempts to embrace the internet.

I hope it sticks around for awhile, so the people like me who joined will get their money's worth. But with Prince, you just never know what he's going to do.

1 year and 1 month, so they can charge members for a second year.

(i'm being generous with that extra month. i wouldn't be surprised if it was 1 year and 1 day, with a new site being launched the next day, named after whatever next year's album is)

The problem with Princes 2 most recent wwebsites, is they are the names of his current albums.

3121 - promotion for the album and then ceased "trading"
lotusflow3r - promotion of his new albums

How can he promote his next album on a website labelled with an "old" album.

This is why npg music club lasted as long as it did.

So to answer the question, probably less than 12 months.
