I'm sure they could, but your questions don't make sense. Maybe you could elaborate?
a) what type of files are we dealing with? (No I ain't got no drm) ... You ain't got no DRM? b) what exact type of drm i used? ... What DRM did you use? [Edited 4/23/09 6:38am]

a) what type of files are we dealing with? (No I ain't got no drm) ... You ain't got no DRM? b) what exact type of drm i used? ... What DRM did you use? [Edited 4/23/09 6:38am] What type of files? I.e.: mp3, flac/whatever, provide extension and contents? As precise description of type as possible. Same for the drm. What software do you use the files with? What devices do play these files? Etc. Am I writing in dutch here? And no, I don't have DRM. I don't have an ipod, my DVD-players are region free, my PC-boxes are non-Windoze and contain libdecss. I use flac for audio, etc, etc, etc. Open standards. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I don't get the 'I don't have DRM' bit, i thought that was the type of licensed file it was, WMA has the DRM license which it stores in the license backup folder in your My Music folder and whenever you play the file it looks for the license in the filder, mine all play fine, music and vids, call my name, live ?ofu/the one medley, all of it! unless i'm missing something of course!

What is so difficult about "I don't have drm"?
I do not collect 'protected' files. So there is no effective drm, if you can call drm effective at all, on my PC's. So it is wma files with drm? W.r.t. the problem, we should sue google for the links you can see with this query: http://www.google.nl/sear...&aq=f&oq=. I guess somewhere in there might be a solution. I could be more specific if your rules/laws allow this and/or if you give me more info about the wma and drm versions. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... Would've been a good choice to burn those songs on cd's, for example?

That is just a workaround. You have a DRM-ridden lossy file. You create on-the-fly-PCM data from that and burn onto a CD-R. A CD(R) is an imperfect medium, not guaranteeing bitperfect reads. You read from CD(R) and make an mp3 or flac from the audio? Then you suffer a loss in quality that can be avoided by decrypting the files directly. Am I missing something? So the server mentioned in the thread title is the server for the downloads that came as part of the membership proir to the musicology store which you didn't pay directlty for as the $100 was for the membership and not downloads.

? You could download stuff as part of a membership. So what are we arguing here? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I'm just saying those mp3's were part of a membership as the drm wma were paid for directly so there's a better chance of getting TCI. slaughterhouse, c note up again rather than the original mp3, but they could be in the new 320kps mp3 which would be good.

That's nice tomds. I can make them available as well, i'm pretty sure WOLFY had the original files and i think it's &%*(#&%(#* nonsense that you can't play them anymore because of the &%*#&%(# DRM!
