dmsr and american idol ok on explorer-not on firefox

just noticed from logging into the site numerous times between the two browsers and whilst all videos play fine in explorer, firefox can't handle the dmsr and american idol videos...not sure what makes these two different from the others.

Try playing them in full screen. That usually works on that "graphic intensive" site.

LOL i was just going to say, there isn't anything Firefox can't handle with the thousands of plugins and addons there are for it. I never use Internet Explorer - fuck microsoft and their wack ass browser.

Not to start a browswer war....

But IE 8.0 is excellent, very fast, and uses less resources on my computer than Firefox. Not sure how it compares to chrome.

In this day and age, it's good to have at least a couple browsers on your computer anyway, as web sites get more complex and target specific browsers more often.

I guess I would have to upgrade the adobe flash on mine too, and see if the vids play better. My computer has been prompting me for some time to do that, but I've been hitting the "remind me later" button. So I finally install it tonight.

Yeah, I hear ya. And for the record, I did hear a few good things about IE8, but I feel it's just too little, too late. And Firefox is just ultra customizable, I use a small but incredibly awesome selection of plugins that I couldnt live without (particularly Ubiquity which allows for a huge selection of quick and easy commands to basically do anything you want, and FireFTP which has served me better than ANY third party FTP program I've ever tried).

Chrome is great and fast and is definately my backup browser. I had Safari installed before too but Chrome renders it pointless IMO.
