tracking of the songs Hello,
Is the tracking of the songs on the CD the same as of the downloaded songs? I mean: songs are cut off just before the final ending, and the ending can be heard at the beginning of the next song in some cases. Yes, I only have the downloads so far. Anyone? Udo Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Udo A lot of the songs on Lotus are sequenced together, like Lovesexy stuff was, or the miserable The Rainbow Children. The segue into each other. I suppose someone could have tracked it a bit better in some parts, but Prince always wanted his albums to be heard front to back ultimately, not on a song by song basis. Thank God it IS tracked though, ya know? Instead of the Lovesexy nonsense with one big track.

Udo Most cd burning software gives the option of deleting the default 2 second gap between trax. If you select that option and reburn it they'll flow properly. This is msuts on LotusFlow3r If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

Thanks for the tips, but this is not a CD-R situation.
I guess the remarks confirm that the songs are badly tracked. The suggested workaround is to play them back to back, as on a gapless CD. Another quality issue for mr P I guess. Are the actual CD's similarly tracked? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

By the way, for Udo, if U eliminate the 2 sec pause between the tracks, the work is done and U have the fluent song sequence (even if 'Boom' segueing into 'The morning after' is a bit abrupt, but I do like it as well).
