the f4v files are corrupted when i try and play them using real player or quicktime

Are they edited for language?

I think you're getting confused with either the 2004 NPGMC download of "The Question Of U/The One", or the circulating pro-shot bootleg DVD of the opening night in Los Angeles, or one of the many other audience filmed bootleg DVDs of the Musicology Tour. Either way, this particular footage is completely new - even to hardcore collectors. I would suggest you check your facts before you whinge and complain that he never puts out new stuff.

^Maybe, but that's hardly what I'd call being publicly released or even 'circulating' amongst collectors.

Same here when I try to play them with my FLV player. They play all pixelated-like whereas the flv files play just fine in the same player.

I have an iMac and a lot of the videos are pixilated. What can I do? Also, how are you guys downloading the videos to watch outside of the website. I hate it that I can only watch the videos there. Help.

Have you noticed that you can only hear the Super Bowl on the left channel and not the right? Also Uptown doesn't have the beginning of it's video? It just begins at a random spot.

There some important things in this thread:

1. Some people appear to have already seen the DMSR clip (how they have seen this exact one I am not sure because it is not from the LA gig shown in cinemas that is circulating)

2. That means there are probably a lot of people (such as me) who have not seen it and are happy to now be able to (along with Cochella (sp?) and the Leno clips)

3. They are uploading new content to the site each week which is a good sign

4. The mix of new/rare/old is a good one as it *should* make everyone happy

5. Most importantly it shows that Prince really does have video archive material from his concerts that *could* eventually be made available to us (he apparently films every concert even if only from a single cam)...

...I for one would love to get to see all of that!

The video files appear to be downloading as MP4's now. I re-downloaded DMSR and now it opens in Quicktime as an MP4 with no glitches. Aren't MP4's what you play in your iPod? Maybe they decided to make the vids iPod-ready? I guess I'll just test them and see for myself.

yea nevermind some of the vids are still pixelly. but they do seem to be downloading as mp4s

How are you guys downloading the video with an iMac??? Tell me like I'm 4.

i have almost every video but one can these be downloaded in realplayer too?
