These two albums including mplsound are my favourite albums of the year so far. Today i was listening to White Flags On Winter Chimneys and i was thinking wouldnt that make a great debate on prince.org . Who would win Prince or Wendy & Lisa? Both albums are amazing and i wish these two albums got much more publicity than they are recieving as they are too albums that are far superior to anything else out there now.

I personally couldnt say which one i like better as i like them equally but what would you guys and ladies say?

Even knocking Prince's 3 CD set into a 9 track Best-Of, White Flags still gives Lotus Flow3r an almighty smackdown.

I wish Prince would take a leaf out of the Wendy and Lisa book.

I think White Flags is a much better album. It's a beautiful piece of popular music as art.

But LF/MPLS is fun and probably give me more joy. I'm very happy with both.

White Flags is a magnificent collection and once again W & L have demonstrated that they write better songs than Prince.

I love White Flags, but Lotus gets the nod.

I'm not that big a fan of the "White Flags" style of music... it's a little too "lay in a bathtub full of water while I slit my wrist" for me, so I give the music nod to the Lotusflow3r set.

As far as WEBSITES go however, Wendy & Lisa's site pounces and poops all over Prince's. The options for purchasing the music, the blog, the twitter updates, the forums... I don't care for the music, but I've visited their site more times a day/week than I do Lotusflow3r.com.

White Flags by a mile. Better album and better website. I like Lotus the album, MPLSound is ok, Elixer is ok too. Prince's website blows, esp compared to Wendy & Lisa's.

I thought their first album was on the whole pretty dull, I liked Sideshow, The Life and Waterfall.

Fruit at the bottom was a much better album I really liked that and then Eroica I can hardly remember other than thinking it was shit.

girls brothers again had a couple of decent songs but was otherwise dull.

White Flags is their best since Fruit At The Bottom but I'd take any of Prince's recent albums over it.

I think Prince has proved himself and is widely regarded as one of the greatest song writers ever.

To get back on topic, LotusFlow3r is the album I'd pick out of the two but they are both good albums, is just that White Flags is good while Lotusflow3r is amazing, on a different level completely.

To be honest I was a little disapointed with White Flags, I found it just too pedestrian for my tastes, there was nothing funky or any classic pop songs.

I would have liked something along the lines of The 1 U wanna see or Mountains on there, maybe if the album had more flavour, a few jazz flourishes it could have been great.

'White Flags On Winter Chimneys' isn't supposed to be fun or funky. You can instantly identify that by the title. The album is an emotional charged, well created and has an breathtaking sound. This is my first Wendy and Lisa album and i was blown away when i first heard this. It's so atmospheric and thats what i love about it. Anyone that says the album isnt very good is in my book really stupid and just obessive over Prince. I love Prince and his music, i love the Lotus Flow3r set, i havent stopped playing it for weeks. But you got to remember Prince is fun and funky, Wendy and Lisa are great musicians so dont expect that when you listen to White Flags because you wont get it.

I personally think its one of the greatest albums i've heard in a long time. No fillers, all amazing songs but i know it will be overshadowed by Lady Gaga and other computer garbage and will not get the credit it deserves. I love Lotus Flow3r and White Flags, but for me White Flags is a musicial masterpiece. But so is Lotusflow3r but not in the same way.

(PS) Let's start a petition for W&L to tour in London preferably at The 02!

It took just 3 weeks 4 me 2 receive my deluxe White Flags package: autographed CD and beautiful coloured vinyl. I was already enjoying the digital version that came with it from the moment it was purchased. I don't think White Flags is as good as LotusFlow3r/MPLSound, but it's a very good album 2 own. My fave track is "Salt & Cherries (MC5)". I just read on their homepage that today they did a DJ set and meet-and-greet at Amoeba Records in L.A. (1 p.m. Pacific time).

I have White Flags but I rarely listen to it. Its nicely produced but their style of arrangement for their songs has never been a stand-out to me. If i want some background music on but don't want the music to distract me, then I sometimes will put it on.
