So, I just tried to download the MPL Sound Album using the newest Firefox, I kept receiving the error "Invalid Origin" and yet, it downloads fine with Internet Explorer 7. I found, when using Internet Explorer it downloaded as mplsound_mplsound.zip but upon trying to extract it, it gives an error saying that the file is damaged/corrupt. To fix this I performed the following but you do have to have an application capable of extracting .rar files...I suggest using 7-Zip (completely free at 7-zip.org) or Winrar (is not free and is only really useful if you are compressing).

1.) First, you have to disable the hidden extension feature in Windows or else, adding/changing or even viewing extensions, is not possible. I'm using Windows XP at the moment and I do not recall if you have to do this in Vista but You can follow along anyway. Go to your start menu and select "run" (vista users, should be able to just type this in the "search" box) and type "explorer" and hit enter. Note: if you are on Vista and this did not open Windows explorer, type "CMD" in that very same search box and hit enter and then, type "explorer" in that and hit enter.

2.) In the top menu click on "Tools" and select "Folder Options" (Vista users, you may have to hit "alt-f" to review this hidden menu. Now, click on the "view" tab within the folder options interface and scroll down to where it says "hide extensions to known file types" and make sure this is unchecked. Apply your changes and exit.

3.) Go to your newly downloaded file and change the .zip to .rar and extract the file. You will find, that it extracts into another generic file called mplsound_mplsound. Add the .zip extension to the end of that file and extract it yet again...Voila! and there is your music!

This was the only way I could get it to work on my computer. As stated before, Mozilla wouldn't even allow me to download it.

to fill in the info on the MP3's you could just do into the file properties and enter the artist/album/year/genre details yourself (this is what i did) and then open up your mp3's in whatever programme you wish it will have the info there.

for the mp3's and wav's I downloaded all fine except mplsound wav which I had to do 3 times as it was incomplete, the file sizes should be the following;

Exiler_mp3 - 94.1mb
Exiler_wav - 428mb
Lotusflow3r_mp3 - 99.3mb
Lotusflow3r_wav - 456mb
Mplsound_mp3 - 101mb
Mplsound_wav - 456mb

I unzipped all of these with WinRAR (www.rarsoft.com) all I did was to click the downloaded file, and when it opened in WinRAR I select the album folder (ignoring the '_MACOSX' folder), in mp3 the folder was the album title and in wav it is the 'WAVE' folder and then click on 'extract to' and you can select where you want the folder to go. then once extracted in the album folder you will have a '.DS_Store' file, you can delete this.

In the case of the mp3's if you are importing into iTunes and such you will notice there are no ID3 tags (This is what tells your audio software album title, song title and artist etc) so really it's rubbish as on your iPod the songs will not be referenced into Artist and Album etc. I tried to write these but it will not save to the mp3 file, for this I tried using ID3-TagITid3 (www.id3-tagit.de) but as I said did not work but you may know of a different tag writer that will work.

In the case of the wav's I used a application called Exact Audio Copy (www.exactaudiocopy.de) with LAME 3.90.3 By Dibrom (http://www.ChrisMyden.com/uber/lame.exe) to encode these into mp3's using the --alt-preset extreme command, Then you can tag them with the aoftware detailed above as you have created the mp3's and will be able to write to them.

also I have created album covers for my iPod just from printing screen on each of the download areas and cropping the album cover in photoshop to give me a little 175x175 which is fine for cover art on your iPod.

UK user, very tired and exasperated.

No matter how many times I try, the downloaded MP3 files (all exceeding 100mb) for all three albums but fail to unzip.

I'm using WinZip 12.0, IE 7, my PC has a 2.20GHZ processor and I'm running 3GB of RAM

This is the error message I receive.....
