No, you are NOT paranoiac! That page is not secure, at all! How do you verify this? Through a pop up or lack thereof or another way? 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I cant believe how many people are complaining, the site had a few small errors which where fixed.. but the reason why the site is slow, the videos are choppy, u cant login is because everything your trying to do a million other people are doing it as well ur not the only ones on the site and it takes up the bandwith. and for a tshirt,3 albums in HQ and tickets to reserved seats for shows is a great deal alone (prince is going on tour) . me myself i got jay leno tickets without having to go there and wait infront of the box office for 6 hours like i planned. I think prince did a great job and I am not complaining cause he thought about his fans...has done alot for me and made me happy.

Did you see a padlock sign in your browser? In modern browsers there's more ways. I could sniff a new signup and have a look.... Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

If you use firefox, you can get an addon called HttpFox, which can show you all the webtraffic that's going on under the surface in raw form. For Internet Explorer there's an alternative called Fiddler. Beware, you're stepping into nerd territory with these tools. "this especially prepared potato is called pomme de terre"

In Firefox and IE, a kind of "lock" icon appears on bottom right of the window. In the address bar (barre d'adresse in fench, sorry) https://... should appear in case of secured page. The background color of the address bar also changes (most of the time turns into green) when it's secured. Can't see anything like these here. FunkyPhresh said: udo said: What is the problem with FF? Works OK here? You had to download firefox to register for it that was the problem... Finally a NON-problem for me! udo said: FunkyPhresh said: You had to download firefox to register for it that was the problem... Finally a NON-problem for me! (I was already using FF; still strange that they didn't test IE, etc) My mom said they probaly did it to reduce traffic so the site wouldn't crash because they knew not everybody had Firefox, therefore that person would need some time to download it and it would then reduce traffic. I still thought it was a lame idea and then maybe they did it on accident which would still be stupid..

1. MPLS wav files not downloading. It stops around 196 mb (should go to about 450 mb or so). MP3s of all albums seem to work fine, and wav files for LotusFlow3r and Elixer work. This seems to be a browser and platform independent error with the site as many have reported this problem.
2. Last night during launch, the system requirements page returned only a 404 error. It's working now at http://www.lotusflow3r.com/system.html But I was unable to see the requirements for signing up. Sucker me did it anyway. 3. Not cool that the Target release seems to include at least "Crimson and Clover," which isn't on the releases you get for becoming a member. IT'S A PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP SITE and members should get EVERYTHING AND MORE available for $12 at Target in return for a $77 membership fee. I hope they put up a single download for anything like this once the set goes on sale Sunday, otherwise, I'm sorry, that's for shit. 4. Videos - many filmed in 4:3 ratio or in SD are stretched into widescreen format. Completely ludicrous. It's fine with me that they stream and aren't for download, but at least get the ratio right so they're watchable. 5. No full-size artwork included with the audio downloads for the album. At least embed the album art in the files for crying out loud - don't force me to take screenshots of the undersized album art to get it into my music player of choice. 6. Overall, I'd just say it's too much of a focus on the surface/experience than substance, as if we'd all prefer clicking on birds with RCA headphone jacks for heads or on little hidden flower petals to get what we're really there for. An album-only launch would have been better, to allow for all that traffic to come in, sign up, grab the albums and get out on a lower bandwidth site. But I'll hold back complete judgement as I'm sure there are plans for additions/expansions as time passes. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. FunkyPhresh said: You had to download firefox to register for it that was the problem... Ok it's not the main matter of this forum but IE by Micro$oft is not the best internet browser in the world, look at this or that 4 examples. So Prince is a free and open-source software fan ??? Knightrider, though I do not get an opportunity to post here very often, I feel everyone does have a valid complaints. First of all, no, the issue concerning the downloading of the albums has not been resolved. I joined early this morning & the files are all unknown files (no zip, wav, mp3). I have emailed the support center & have yet to get a response. There was also a phone number for support which I believe belongs to the webmaster which states his mailbox is currently full (which is understandable, he's probably been left plenty of messages).
It would be nice however if the webmaster would post some type of message to members to reassure fams that have paid money to join that the problems are being worked on or offer other options. I'm glad that it worked out well for you & others that may have had no or very little problems. Now, if anyone on this site has other options or have found other means of successfully downloading the albums & transfering the files to itunes, please feel free to email me @: slamjamz@yahoo.com your assistance would greatly be appreciated. Also, this absolutely post is by no means to disrespect knightrider or anyone else. We all have a right to speak.

Somewhere Here on Earth video is fine until 2 minutes in (one line into verse 2), then it suddenly changes to Te Amo Corazon.
Not 100% on this one, but I think the end is missing off the Super Bowl vid (most of Purple Rain). It's possible my connection just died.

Indeed it seems more work was put into elaborate graphics and weird animations (the bird with headphone jackhead) than in functionality and usability. My additional complaint to what's already been stated: there should be a very clear FAQ / customer service space. I doubt Prince wants another forum after NPGMC, but it is a damn shame that people have to go to OTHER sites to figure out how to even sign up on his. What's the point in offering lossless wav files when they sound that bad? They are WAY too loud, clipping all the way through. A fart in the bath sounds better.
