obviously wav. since it will be like having a direct rip of the album uncompressed, but the mp3 files are 320kbps.. so.. bout the best out of mp3 format
I prefer VO, but 320 is cool

Before this gets locked. What to do after you have the compressed file, hit extract, and it says file is empty or invalid? He is exactly who we thought he was

yes, i really want to know this too. i have yet to get a good copy of MPLSound. says it's invalid or damaged. and when i go inside to look, then it says unexpected end of archive, etc. so far, the only actual file i've been able to see inside is There'll B Another Like Me and nothing else.

all i did was rename the file from php to .zip worked fine

mine was already labelled .zip
here's what i had to do. i had to change it to a .rar, extract it, then change the file inside to a .zip. good lord! finally got it to work. too late to listen now, though.

If this rar thing is the only way that works, how do you get hold of a rar extractor? Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

Anyone know how big the wav zips are? I'm on my third attempt at downloading them. Failed the first two times. I'm not listening to this stuff til it's burnt onto a fucking CD and it's driving me nuts.

The Elixer one was approx 430MB Thanks Keithy. Up to 366MB on Lotusflow3r. I decided one at a time was probably sensible this time.

WAV is the best - you can always make MP3 versions yourself later.
Grab the WAVs while you can - who knows how long they'll be up!

Can WAV and/or MP3 be converted to iTunes to be put on my iPod?
How would I do it? | |

How would I do it? iTunes will play both - but you're going to want to use the MP3s for your iPod. They don't need to be "converted" at all - just added to your library.

Grab the WAVs while you can - who knows how long they'll be up! Co- And make sure you burn the wavs to CD before you convert them - so you always have the lossless version. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I was told to download them as mp3s and save them to a folder like desktop so it could be moved to itunes. Isn't WAV for when you want to use them on Windows Media player? Not sure which is the best way. I want to download them so I could put the songs on my mp3 player. [Edited 3/25/09 7:34am]

[Edited 3/25/09 7:34am] Wav files can be added to your iTunes library but they will need be converted to whatever default codec you have set in iTunes (mp3 or aac) or to Apple Lossless if you want to add tag info (artist name, song name, album, etc) as wav files dont have id tag capability built in. I believe you have to actually use "Add File/Folder To Library" and not drag n' drop wav files into your library, and I believe it will as you if you want to convert them, but I'm not sure because I don,t do wav very often and when I do I convert them using dbPoweramp (great program!) Edit: I guess iTunes does play wav natively. (see above post) [Edited 3/25/09 7:44am]

It will play them, but they are HUGE files (about 10x the size of MP3). I think you are confusing WAV with WMV/WMA . . . those latter 2 are Windows Media.

Wav is uncompressed, lossless (perfect copy of original CD)
mp3 is compressed, lossy. "The use in MP3 of a lossy compression algorithm is designed to greatly reduce the amount of data required to represent the audio recording and still sound like a faithful reproduction of the original uncompressed audio for most listeners, but is not considered high fidelity audio by audiophiles.
