Here comes the whining again! It just amazes me how childish and whiny people can be. All of us who have been fans of Prince for a long time should have KNOWN what to expect when it comes to this new website. We have dealt with various versions of his websites in the past. There are always issues, glitches, complaints about what is there and what is not there. It's simple, don't JOIN!
Did I want to pay $77 for downloading the albums, a t-shirt and some pictures? Hell no,but the fact that I will get presale tickets in the future sells it for me everytime. I keep my expectations low for his sites. Then I come on the forums and read nothing but bitching and griping by other people. Maybe he will surprise us this time, but going off his track record with sites, I doubt it. Enough already! | |

I honestly believe people have a right to whine about Prince's shit site on a Prince forum with a dedicated official site discussion.

They should hold the site, or put up an apology page until it is rectified. Not keep taking he money and keeping us uninformed. Just as any other wesite would do. | |

Most ppl are just trying to inform the website designers what problem the website have. I personaly can not sign up, many are having the same problem. The webmasters need to be informed of all glitches P could lose buisness due to this, if u owned a business or run a buisness for someone wouldnt u want to know if their is problems? | |

Turn it in, eh. Yeah, you didn't join - good for you! How marvellously clever of you not to get suckered into believing that you'd be receiving a service that you paid for. Not everyone on here has been around for ever and 'should know by now' - As Simon said: What so, because they messed up last time, we should expectthe same again? Should't it have been, because they messed up last time, they would ensure it was correct this time and have learnt from their mistakes.
It's all about customer service or lack thereof. BTW - just to clarify, I paid and was extremely lucky to not have any problems (so far). I just have issues with people moaning about people airing their valid complaints. So there.  I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

I'm still in utter disbelief at how bad it is.
firstly I download the albums and I get a rar file, I extract it and get just one file that I can't do anything with. The pictures are all from the book and most of the videos were previously commercially avaliable, where all the stuff from the vault, the classic performances. This for me is by far the worst Prince site ever it is a rip off. The NPGMC wasn't without fault but I never felt the need to complain, I think the music is great, come on a couple of good clips for $77. And why on earth can't they get a simple thing like the album downloads correct. I should by now have heard the new albums, I've not. | |

So far the site looks good.
Album downloads are quick enough. Would like to see a sign of SSL encryption for the credircard though. Videos stutter due to buffering issues versus speed of the site. Can be fixe easily. So I am not yet whining! What goodies do I _NEED_ to get now? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry. | |

This in principle is exactly the same as a Bill Gates, Windows Launch. Promise the world of exciting features, launch it, get everyone to pay for it, THEN make it work! Ya know? I was excited about those vids alone!! So far, I received 3 albums (with exclusive songs only in the download), about 7 videos that I didn't have in my collection (around 15 videos in all), a Lotusflow3r T-Shirt on the way and some nice photos that were not in the 21 nights album ( or at least unobscured photos of them)I think I got my money's worth and it's only the first couple of hours of being open! People are acting like this is the only thing we will get for a yearly membership. I already knew the site would be bombarded with subsrcibers once it opened, so I expected there would be the glitches. Once the initial rush of subscribing is over, the technical issues will subside. By the way, the website requirements are as follows; LOTUSFLOW3R.COM - SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor 1 GB of system memory Adobe Flash 9 or greater Minimum resolution 768x1024 If you don't have those specs or higher, that most likely was the cause of it crashing or freezing up on you. I got the C&C vid late last night... only one I don't have yet is the one I wanted most Chocolate Box. But you know my view... I paid for a yearly subscription... not just one night of fun. As long as he holds up to the promises of new content regularly... I'll be cool. But I really am believing now that the spec they didn't mention was vid card. Unless your system is a serious gaming rig with at least 512 mb Radeon or G Force vid card.... the site as it stands may be just too intense on with the Flash Graphics. | |
