Navigating the Lotusflow3r

Once you are into the site (no minor feat in itself), navigating is a little strange.

You start with a picture of Prince's face in a bubble. This is, I guess, the main page. Clicking on the prince on the top left of the screen brings up a place to buy tickets or change your profile. There is also a mute button (why you would want that, I have no idea!) and a full-screen button.

Click on the picture once to zoom in. Then, clicking on his face will take you to a spinning 'globe' with video clips and pictures. Moving the mouse pointer around will make the globe spin towards the pointer. Click on what you wanna see. Click the 'x' at the top to close it and then choose something else. Click the prince at the bottom right of the screen to go back. Clicking around the edge of his face will bring you to the page that lets you listen to and download (if it was working) the Lotusflow3r album. Clicking on the pyramids to the right brings up a Crimson and Clover video.

Go back out to the main page and click on the right side of the screen to bring up the MPLSOUND page. Clicking on the bird brings up other things to click. Strum the strings of the guitar if you wish. Click on the guitar to bring up the MPLSOUND album. Click on the zeppelin to bring up a Chocolate Box video.

From the main page again, click on the left side of the screen to bring up Bria's page. Clicking on the moon brings up a video. Clicking on the silver power button on the left side brings up the album for your listening/downloading pleasure.

I see his face in that bubble type thing and I see the pyramids....but a bird - I don't see. The site is not good. How does he win all those webby awards? Seriously?

The jack-headed bird you will see if you click back to the main page and then click on the right side of the screen. BTW ... the download for the music seems to be working now! I am downloading all three albums as I type this. No telling how long this will take.

What picture of Prince? The only thing that comes up is a bubble going around and around in circles. It keeps telling me to unlock the site, but how do you do that?

KK ... you just loaded the lotusflow3r.com site. You now have a boombox on the right, a glowy orb in the middle of the screen, a TV on the left with a newspaper clipping next to it and a ticket next to the boombox. Click on the ticket. If you haven't already done so, type in '1986' and 'Los Angeles' into the spaces on the ticket. Then fill in all your personal info and give the man your money.

If you have already signed up, click where it says 'Already a member? Log in!' then type in the new screen name and password you just created and click 'Go'. It can take a good long time after this for the ticket to go away, the orb gets bigger then goes away and the site comes up. Then follow the first post in this thread to navigate.

The purpose of the effort I put into the first post up top was so that you could read it and wouldn't have to ask. Now go read it.

You have to pay yes, but I can do everything in Safari now. You don't NEED FireFox.

It wasn't working a while ago. It started working but failed in the middle of downloading and then it worked when I tried again. I think they were probably working on fixing it.

BTW ... I am in the site with IE instead of Firefox and it seems to actually work a little better. The videos are actually not as glitchy.

As nobody seems to have answered this question for you... Safari is another web browser (just like Internet Explorer and Firefox) but is made by Apple. It works on Macs and Windows. You either like it or you don't (I personally don't.)
