Feel better, feel good, feel wonderful is not a remake!

I've heard people say that the new song is a remake of 1995s Feel Good. Not true, they are different songs. The new joint is much different, without that dumb rap.

May be the funkiest song he has done in about ten years. Shit is rockin people.

I think you are getting confused. The original track that people refer to is the 2006 short demo version that Prince put up on NPGMC a little bit before the site closed.

I've not heard anyone say they think it is this 1995 track "Feel Good" (must admit I don;t know anything about that one).
Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

Exactly.

It's one of the worst things he's ever done. I wouldn't bother looking for it too strenuously.

I didn't like the demo too much. Hopefully it sounds better on LF.

Well, he was asking for feedback on that demo. Maybe he used it and re-did the song.

And how do you know all of this? Based off that almost 2 min sample?
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

"Feel Good" is a totally different track than "Feel Better, Feel Good, Feel Wonderful".

Anyway, the track for "Feel Good" was given to Chaka and reworked as another song.

The song you're referring to is "Reconsider (U Betta)" from Come 2 My House. Music is basically straight from "Feel Good" with new lyrics and Chaka's vocals.

I never thought "Feel Good" was complete trash - it is an outtake, after all. It's just got that bumblegum plastic sound that surrounded the time period during which it was recorded, and the lyrics are goofy, but it was never meant to replace The Holy River or anything. It would have been a great b-side or part of a maxi-single.

Thanks for the song title. I could not think of it to save my life. Chaka did a live version of the song on her BET DVD and it was a totally different song. More jazzy.

Well, no, it was never meant to replace The Holy River, but I can name half a dozen songs off the top of my head from disc 1 and 3 that it should have replaced.

nothing was ever meant to replace "the holy river' since the holy river was
a late addition to the set and replaced "goodbye".
