i recall at a one nite alone concert in london a few years back...best seats i could get where towards back oh hammersmith apollo london..came over from dublin for the concert...and was subjected to a 'join the nmg club if you want to be upfront' rant from prince and the audience from front of stage..sickening it was...i spent money on flights and hotels and got abuse...interesting in that i have been in touch with over 535 prince fans in ireland and none of them joining the new 'club' after the croke park joke/silence

Many fans to this day enjoyed Prince being in control of tickets sales as this cut out the ticket touts(scalpers) everyone paid a resonable price ticket and most received a decent seat.

Everyone had the choice it was your choice not to join and if Prince does this again - again it will be your choice to join or not to join.

I got good seats and I wasn't any member of anything.



The price was fair, $90 and 40ft. from the front.

Yeah. Prince was a real dick when he gave his NPGMC membership spiel at the concerts.

If everybody did indeed 'join the club' as Prince recomended, people would STILL be seated at the back of the venue. The 'front' doesn't have an infinite amount of space just because you have joined a club' and if everybody in the audience had of joined the NPGMC then who got priority seats?

That's true. When I went to the ONA show in Vegas, it was a first come first serve thing. I was somewhere from either the 9th-11th row, I can't remember but that was closer than any show I'd gone to before that. People were further behind me but it was just great to know that we were able to have the chance to have those seats as opposed to anybody else. Not me looking down on anyone who wasn't a member but it was really great to have that and to see my membership working for me.

Nah, it's true.. The first night he played at the Apollo he sat all us club members down and insisted that we should give everyone else as much shit as we could (especially the Irish!!).. By the end of the show we were ripping up our seats and throwing them back into the rest of the audience, I was lucky enough to actually take someones eye out..

The next night I went tooled up!!! I really fucked some of them non club members over that night I can tell ya..
