Cost to ship.. Okay today I went to the post office, and weighed 3 CD with the 3121 CD case,in a padded envelope,to figure out the weight so that I could figure out the cost of shipping to international fans, and OMG! I hope I am doing something wrong here cause the amounts are The Cd that I weighed was 1lb 5oz,and this is what UPS is giving me to ship 1 CD
https://wwwapps.ups.com/ctc/request and USPS rates are http://ircalc.usps.gov/In...1&O=0&sd=1 Am I doing something wrong or does it really cost that much to ship? Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach

I don't see what this had to do with the web site in the first place, but: couldn't you have added this to the thread you started yesterday? The one on the very same subject?

$10 internationally sounds about right. Some international stores will ship without the jewel case to save the purchaser some money. But in this case, there is no jewel case. Don't forget to pay the extra for insurance, too. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Let's get this right we are talking about a single one off price ....if you are a CD retailer sending bulk you get a discount on that i.e. Amazon US to Amazon UK would not be paying this price per CD ... $10 is £7.55 so if you add the cost of the CD $11.98 = £8.58 cost of duty $3.00 = £2.15... So why are we being charged £33.99 pounds GBP that would be $47.50 usd ??? [Edited 3/18/09 9:02am] Da, Da, Da....Emancipation....Free..don't think I ain't..! I've received single CDs taped to the bottom of boxes that could hold maybe 25 CDs. Plus Amazon has to charge "handling".
