Amazon.uk calls it a [Box Set]. But I think it will be an ultra light, almost flat, tri-fold cardboard sleeve. It will most likely weigh less than a CD in a jewel-case.

that's what i'm anticipating as well. nod

it's also been reported that the liner notes will be made available online, so i wouldn't be looking for any extra goodies to bulk up the packaging. sadly. sigh

Particularly when it's being sold for $12.

I saw this. Please dont ask me where or how but I saw the prototype. It was 3 fold all the same blue hue color and when you open it it had pictures of Prince and Bria. Bria on the left side I think. I saw it for half a second and thats its. Super cheap packaging.

I just had an insane thought. eek

Surely access to these online booklets wouldn't require membership to Lotusflow3r now would it?

...You never know? hmmm

Doesn't USPS have a flat rate envlope? ($12.95)

See http://www.usps.com/price...prices.htm

Priority Mail Flat-Rate Envelope or Priority Mail Small Flat-Rate Box
Same price, up to 4 pounds (US pounds, I guess).

Shipping can go down to $10.95 depending on destination, lower that page.

Yes,but I am trying to figure also for those that want more than one. I would'nt be able to fit,say 5 of these sets in an envelope, and if they are going to be traveling a far amount of distance,I would hate for them to arrive all bent, and banged up. Thank for the help though. smile I am going to go to both USPS,and UPS to get price quotes.

CD's (in jewel case?) with bubbly plastic or other cushioning should be fine.
At least some cardboard on botth sides?

This could imply that the 33 pound release is different from the $12 release.
If it is...

Digipak: it's the way to go. The jewel cases usually crack and such. Not to mention all of his recent CD's have been released as such.
Musicology, 3121, and P.Earth all Digipak. A large jewel case or the older jewel cases don't make sense, and will be limited due to size.
The digipak can be compact and smaller, not to mention more put on the shelves.

Digipaks are custom made and hard to replace.
They don't last long. They age with every on/off the shelf action.
So they are not the way.

Okay so I went, and put 5 Digipack CD's in a Express Mail cardboard envelope, and the quote I got for Poland (since that is one of the shipping places I needed) it is the $12.95 for Flat Rate (6 days delivery),and if you want it faster it's eek $$$

It is unfortunate that Digipacks aren't as durable as jewel cases, but they are much less harmful to the environment, so I can live with it.

yeah, but these days most folks buy the CD, rip 'em to their iPods, then put the CD back on the shelf until they need to rip/burn it again. so it could be argued that sturdy packaging isn't quite as much of a need as it used to be.

By the way, is this in the forum?

CD packaging of something people will most likely not by online (i.e. the physical discs), isn't really anything to do with lotusflow3r.com, is it?

The 20th century is over. Use Apple lossless format to import them, play them back with an iPod/iPhone dock or an Apple TV and there is really no need for a CD player. No more scratches, no more misplaced CDs, no more having to manually change a CD to listen to something different.

My idea. And a stack of CD's doesn't consume energy like a NAS/SAN/PC would do if you'd store all the music on there.
And the ipod still doesn't play FLAC, APE or SHN, does it?
