I think it's a very sweet and nice song that is mainstream enough to get some major radio play. Could compete with all those other female r&b/pop songs that are being played, but the instrumental composition with the linn drum still makes it very Prince.

Exactly, I could so hear this on the radio, and with that little hint of Prince..perfect!

Pretend for a second that Prince has nothing to do with the song. Now, imagine for a second or two if the song came on the radio. Would you change the channel? Under those circumstances, most of us would change the channel. No offense. It's like the Tamar album. Prince hasn't had a good protege album in years... scratch that... decades. I mean, the last one was the Eric Leeds Times Squared album. What was that, 1991?

As long as he keeps the good material for himself, I could care less what he spends his time doing. Just don't think the rest of the audience is going to buy it -- unless it's a Time reunion.

The first few times I was not really impressed, I could take it or leave it. After giving it a couple of days, it really has grown on me. I think it does have the capacity of being well received. music

Same here. It's not that Prince is behind it, and I have made it clear several times that I'm not a big Bria fan lol, AB is just a nice smooth mainstream song. If I don't switch the channel when Jodin Sparks is on I'm not gonna do it with Another Boy either.

I def. agree with this. If it were a touch faster I feel it would be very much radio material.

I think that pretend part is spot on. You can even replace the vocals with Rihanna and it wouldnt make a difference.

I know Prince himself started the idea that B.V. sounds like Sade, but I don't really hear any resemblance?!

Am I the only one hearing a hint of Michael Jackson in the vocal sound of the first verse? eek

I completely agree with you on that one, it makes more sense.nod I really like this track, im impressed with her music so far but will wait to see what the whole album sounds like before i give a solid opinion.

Sure - wouldn't be right to form an opinion on the basis of one or two songs we've heard.
Still - I wouldn't even call this song 'smooth jazz', would you? Nineties pop. Mmm, maybe that's not right either. It just sounds VERY Prince
