Possibility of tracking the CD's without NPGMC cooperation. Info required from those already with ONA...L After my initial venting and frustration this morning I decided to divert my efforts to more constructive endeavours. NPGMC cannot give us information but Fed-X can. I phoned their customer services to find out if you can track packages without a tracking or invoice number. After the nice lady had finished laughing, she asked me a series of questions like my names and post(zip)codes. There is apparently nothing shipped to me, for this or last week. I was sorry it was not more positive, but at least I don’t have to rush home tonight and I can go out and get hammered instead -> ->
I then asked her what other piece of information would best facilitate the tracking (without a tracking number). She told me “full address and zip code of the person who sent the package”. So if anyone still has the Fed-X envelope can they please post the NPGMC address and zipcode used on these shipments. We should then be able to at least predict more accurately when our CD’s will turn up.

Why do you feel the need to PREDICT when they will come ? just get on with your life and they will turn up .. I am a member, but I don't give a crap when my box set will come, because I know it WILL come sometime, it might be tomorrow or in January, I honestly don't give a crap.

Apparently not so in Europe, you could try the same thing through UPS for the US and Canadian impatients though.

I am just trying to help people (who admittedly may or may not be impatient like myself) obtain a little positivity in this sham of a shipment. I am sorry I mentioned Canada. bacatcha

Thanks TinTin, the address worked a treat. The guy was a as helpful as he could be but informed me that there were "A Helofalot" of shipments, an "infinite amount really" coming out of Paisley Park "on a daily basis". Mine alas is not in the pipeline yet. You need the address above and your own postcode. Fed X is 0800 123 800 then *0, I am sure they are going to love 5000 prince freaks hassling them. Have fun and I hope others have more joy for this weekend. I am off for a swift 15! [This message was edited Fri Dec 6 8:27:00 PST 2002 by Soapstone]

Don't appologize, Soapstone. It was just an FYI for Canadians to know that they can follow your suggestion regarding FedEx. I think I'll give them a call...

You're right. Mind you, after six months of doing no work whatsoever, it must be quite alien for them to have to do something for a change.

Hi, I just phoned UK Fedex on 0800 123 800 and they said they can only search for a shipment with either: (i) the tracking number, or (ii) the date of shipping and the name and postcode of the recipient. They said the only way she could check for me would be to work back from today's date and check each day for a shipment (which she wasn't prepared to do). I doubt I will get an accurate shipping day from NPGMC so I guess I'll just have to wait for the card to arrive Anyone had any more success than this? Is it worth emailing them? Al Reynolds

Al Reynolds I just phoned Fed-ex and the guy on the other end of the phone seemed more helpful. I gave him all my info and the info Tintin posted (about where the parcel came from) and they couldn't find anything in their system. I was told that with all that info and despite not having the tracking number, if it has been shipped it should show up on their system. He checked for the dates 4,5,6,7 of December and nothing came up at all. I really have other things I ought to be doing...
