Thanks but no thanks. HQ is a thing of the past for me, even if it may re-appear after this interetsing 38:11 frontpage thingie. Amen. Prince is in LA big time right now, the US fans are getting the benefit of that, we had 21 nights not too long ago. So fair is fair. Just release the CDS over here P. Don't let us out in the cold. You confuse concerts and CD's. You do realize I was agreeing with you, don't you?! "My God it's full of Stars"

Not me. I made my point clear. So that is the reality for now. Why do you need to drag your sense of religion into this? Keep taking the tablets http://www.goldiesparade.co.uk/ - Prince discography, tour history, news and more.

Keep taking the tablets I don't know about the american medical situation but it is healthier not to take any tablets on a regular basis, so I don't take tablets. Or do you imply you have some medical training/knowledge/etc? If so, please elaborate on that and on whatever condition you observe. In the mean time we'll be waiting for the 29th of march while reading the news about Michael Jackson. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... I Can see the Sunday Newspapers jumping on this they need the sales ...plus with all this news on MJ the 80's is in the mind of most of the music and fashion media so a new CD from prince would get very high bids...i'd say 3 x CD's at around 500,000 each 1.0 - 1.5 million deal ...will sell 3- 4 million newspapers ...adverts from other companies ...£800,000 ...deal.. The truth is you are impatient & demanding & you want things now. You have no respect for Prince. You only respect you own selfish desires. The truth is... I never said that I wouldn't buy it, if it was ever commercially available in the UK at a later date. Which I would. I'm a fan. I just don't want to line another eBay seller's pockets.

So is there anyone here with an APO mailbox that could help me get the set a bit cheaper? Or anyone in the USA that can send me the set? Please OrgNote me....! 33£. !
THIRTY THREE POUNDS!!! It is being released a week earlier (under 10£) in US. It will be all over the net. And Prince expects us, a week later to pay over 3 times the amount? Thats just INSANE!!!. And who the hell wants BRIA SHITtante's cheeselistic debut? For more than a regular release? Not me. Happy to have it as a freebie with the other releases, but that price is for 3 normal cd releases. No F@@king way. ok, P has lost his marbles, or has become insane for $$$ Because that just doesn't make business sense. Not a good work model or PR move. Anyone remotely interested will download a torrent the week before. And I normally don't do that. But this is just insulting. Don't think we are all sheep Mr Nelson. "My God it's full of Stars"

rorywan are you sure you're not over-reacting a smidgeon to all of this
(I'm jut messing with you, and I do agree that £33 is a lot compared to the US $11.98 price BUT if people are prepared to wait and not absolutely have to have their hands on the new CDs ASAP after day of release etc, bargains may be able to be had. We also do not know exactly how all this is going to be linked into lotusflow3r.com yet.) Prince has tried to do a new type of unique retail deal which this time is US-centric. Just as the Planet Earth deal was UK centric. It's swings and roundabouts. What we saved on getting a free copy of Planet Earth with a £1 Sunday newspaper, we may have to spend this time on buying an import CD. Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

I'm not paying that price on principle, and I have quite a decent collection.(And regarding free CDs in newspapers, I have about 10 free copies of PE but I bought the Japanese hardcase version)
I am a completist but that price difference is shocking - hopefully it's wrong. If not, I'll be seriously pissed off. If us European fans are being milked liked that, I'll download a torrent and then pick up a real copy on Ebay or off a friend in the US at some stage later. [Edited 3/16/09 5:15am]

Amazon reply:
Dear Customer Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk. We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with our policy concerning price changes of the item “Lotus Flow3r”. I would like to offer an explanation of some of the particular considerations which have led us to adopt this policy. There are several million titles listed on our website, some of which have never been ordered from us and may not have been ordered by any retailer for quite a while. It would be impossible for us to regularly check on the price of each item, and so we must rely on the data supplied by publishers and other suppliers. We update our website regularly with data from many sources, but occasionally this information is out-of-date or incorrect. We can only make the changes if our suppliers have made them known. We make every effort to keep abreast of the changes in the status of items, and we feel that having an on-line computerised catalogue allows us to update it more regularly. Publishers do, however, change the list prices of titles regularly and with so many titles in our catalogue there will unavoidably be a few instances where an item's price may have changed without our knowing it. Also, we would like to inform you that, if the price of an item is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount while shipping that item as per our price guarantee policy. If price of an item is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, never charge the higher price. Hope this information is of help. I sincerely apologise for the misunderstanding caused regarding this policy. Thank you for choosing Amazon.co.uk. Please let us know if this e-mail answered your question: (etc) So nothing definitive yet? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

the prices will be ridiclous here in Australia, it is on pre-order for $59.99 !
but then again so was Emancipation when it first came out and now you can get for like $8 so I think I'll just wait it out. I am sure I will hear the albums before I buy them anyway. Why the hell does Prince make it so hard to support him ? What mental problem is he suffering from ? If the album was released in Australia for a similar price to the US price, I would buy it without a second thought but come on - more than triple the price ?? - get lost. Hard to believe I've been on the org for over 25 years now!

What international music do you speak of? Do you import the latest U2 cd? I have never had to import a mainstream Prince cd? These are not import costs, they are actual release costs? i don't know where i'm going to buy it from
i just saw it on chaosmusic.com.au for $73.15 austrlian dollars and the release date states 6th of April apart from the hardcore fans who is gonna buy this for $73 ?? :s potential for reaching a new fan base is gone right there. I got excited over this with the whole mplsound.com appearing and dissapearing, then the lotus site appearing, going blank and changing etc and it's my birthday on march the 28th so it kinda worked out perfect he built up that excitement 4 this release but now it just feels like a big tease it's a half arsed effort he needs to do more for the fan base outside of the U.S [Edited 3/19/09 22:13pm] You saw the apple
