I'm finding the glacial rate of teasers on lotusflow3r rather annoying, but familiar. It's like in 1996 when we all waited 4 many months 4 the welcome2thedawn website designed 2 promote Emancipation. Even 2 this day, I have that sunrise image with Prince's hands breaking free from the chains burnt into my memory. I'm afraid that the new image of the old TV, the dead flowers, and the boombox is now meeting the same fate 4 me.

the problem probably lies with all of us, we took the sentiment a new universe to mean a new dawn ie a new website, but i seriously doubt that will happen.

The penny was probably on the orgiinal flash design as an idea for an eventual button to link through to either a membership payment(our fertile imaginations) page or indeed a purchase tickets page.(prob in the orginal brief)

That has now been discarded in the curent flash version which leads you to think it is not needed in the foreseeable future or maybe they just forgot to put it back after their updates of bria pics were done.

i dont know why people are surprised or annoyed, prince has always been like this, from the very beginning. i think he has ideas - tells people to go do it 'make it so' tells the world its happening and then the people doing the do dont have enough info etc to actually fully put into practice the thing he has announced.

I have said before i would suspect he is surrouded by yes men, if you were hired to do that job i bet most of you would excitedly be taking those paisley money cheques (and framing em lol), and saying yes P we made the site but behind the scenes going frantic over the lack of info to actually put on it. afterall what we curently have is a very simple if not srtistic site. It aint flash rocket science!

I bet he gets up and suddenly thinks 'hey you got that sexy shot of bria on my site yet' and some minion goes ; 'oh yes P sure its there already looking lovely!' and he goes down to his studio happy. The guy then gets on the phone to the web dude and says ' hey get this pic of bria up fast Ill email it to you!' and hey presto we have a change to the site!!


Either that or (my personal purple-hazed preference) is to think that Princey gets bored at 6 am when his entourage have finally collapsed into bed and is mucking about with basic web design himself and has made this all on his own, hence mplsound, the facebook groups the previous myspace page etc, he's prob on the org as we speak joining in and thinkng, 'shit they dont like my site yet better go read that tutorial again and get some links up!'

keep it up prince! youre doin a damn fine job! (on the other hand if you're payin for it, best call a meeting right away and slap some faces into positive action!!)

He wanted the site up "somewhat" in order to throw a few songs up there and so on. He wanted to create excitement, and it worked, but for some only momentarily.
I understand people losing interest but I honestly think he is waiting to get everything just as he wants and get everything right (legally and so on), then it will go live. I think he has had a specific date from day ONE of starting all this....people are just not patient enough to deal with Prince's 'way' of doing things.
Another post/topic on the music and more catagory showed us that he has a pending patent (something to that effect) for a website that sells online music, shirts, tickets, on and on and on and that patent does not go to the approved status until March 3rd 09. It has been started and pending since April of 08. Now I do not know a lot at all about the technicalities of patents and so on for ONLINE business websites, but it seems to be that apparently those types of things take awhile to complete and do correctly and legally and he has been waiting for that day to come, in the meantime he got excited and wanted to start hype...

I am simply giving my view and opinion (maybe more of an educated guess by reading several things and putting different numbers and things together). May be totally off...but, for what it is worth..

Oh, and as far as people being plain tired of waiting for the site, it is simply Impatience!!
