As excited as I am about the new music and concerts....because I sure as hell know I will go to at least one...I can't help but find it humorous that in previous interviews he has criticized artists for doing remakes....and then the first song that plays on his "new" site is a remake of Crimson and Clover LOL Hilarious...

Listening to the tracks, and I have to admit though, Bria does have a nice voice in the "Here I Come" track. The song has a nice r&b sound to it.

I think you're overestimating the amount of creative liberty given to the designers. If you don't like the design or artwork, you need to look further up the the ladder and blame Prince himself. The talent he drew in the 80s for design/artwork was also a matter of his lack of complete and direct involvement (i.e. the story of the ATWIAD cover painting, in which he commissioned an illustrator to do the work, gave some general direction, saw an in-progress proof and simple said "finish it.") Now, you can bet he's much more involved. (Although, I will say that Prince's own illustration for 1999 and even the Gett Off singles were better than anything recently.)

I think the site looks very promising and am just thrilled to have an official site again. The new tracks (especially the guitar-focused ones) sound great to me, and I'm just ready for some new music. The site looks professionally designed but poorly art directed, if you ask me.

I think an X-ray of his vocal cords would have been cool, all black and white, and would have added an 'abstract art' feel to it.
Or a pic of his little ears - they are are quite cute and after all, apart from the throat/larynx, that's where it's all happening.
