is the box set coming through ups are the mail ...cuz i have not got my one nite alone live yet ...i live here in missouri usa by the way life is a bitch .......Prince keeps me going every day ...pushing me 2 the top ....when i fill down and out .......he is all ways there on my side in his music | |

From what I've read on this thread and a few others, I don't think many org people have gotten ONA Live yet. LaVisHh is just very lucky! And a couple people in Holland...
I'll just sit tight in Toronto and try to keep busy to stop thinking about it. So far no one in Canada has said they've gotten it. Or they've turned off their computers, put on the headphones, and vanished. Hmmph.  | |

All I can say, being a non-member of NPGMC...I wasn't sure I was going to buy this set. I thought the $60 was a bit steep for a concert that I already have a copy of (have the ONA in Chicago). But after seeing the pic of that set I went over to CD Universe and pre-ordered it. By the way it's on sale there for $43 and they have a 12/17 release date.
I understand y'all being pissed with the extra copy of ONA in the set being mailed to you ( I would be to), but that is for all the members that signed up after the initial mailing. ...this was just NPGMC covering their ass and making sure all members got a copy of it. Also, you probably could make up some bank on e-bay by selling your extra copy on there. | |

It might have been UPS Ground because I live in Minneapolis, don't count 100% that it means everyone's will be delivered by the same method! (Esp those overseas, lol)

Got home from work today and guess what was at my doorstep?
That's right... One Night Alone Live!! My box set included another copy of the ONA cd. For those who have yet to receive the set, it's so worth the wait. I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of you. Peace and be wyld!!

I doesn't make sense at first, but if u think about it, they probably had a lot of people to join after seeing the shows this past year. Therefore, it makes more sense for them to "toss" in ONA into the package while producing it instead of doing a mailing of "who has received it" and who hasn't. Just got mine too! It is incredible. Well worth the wait. You are going to LOVE it. Jazzy!!! Communication with the audience makes you feel like you are right there. Just an example - Joy in Repetition is over 10 minutes long and sounds the best I've ever heard it.

Random trivia: This boxed set once was going under the name "Xenophobia". But I think those were only rumours someone made up, and a lot of people believed it. But maybe Candy's recordings with Prince were actually overdubs for ONA Live... That's a depressing thought! I hope there really IS a Xenophobia album!

well, you can relax in one sense: there IS a xenophobia album. they played it on the PA in lakeland and in many other US cities before club members were let into the soundcheck. as for if it'll ever get released? who knows. what i do know is that if this is one of the promised items in year 3, i'll be HOPING he'll pull another bait-and-switch, y'know? i mean...xenophobia? that's so like...2001/early 2002, y'know? just playin', y'all... Put yourself in Prince's shoes for a minute - which would be the smarter thing to do (from his viewpoint):
A: Send Xenophobia along with ONAL & hope it makes the members happy so they will sign up for another year. or B: Save Xenophobia & use it as the sign-up bonus cd for the NPGMC 2003 edition to entice old members to continue on as members. Just a thought. | |
