Prince does more for his fans than anybody. I never thought I'd have the chance to meet and talk with him, go to soundchecks, go to his studio and attend a concert everynite for a week.Plus free admission to a movie with all the others that attended.Free downloads,free cds.Not to mention how he knocks himself out at concerts and aftershows.So what if we have to wait a little for a 3 cd set? I think he is a little busy touring 3 continents.

I'll only join next year WHEN and IF a concert is booked near me on night that is actually within traveling distance. That's the only thing worth the money in my opinion...first crack at tickets. Who knows how much longer he will be touring...it will be the end of live performances as we know it. No one will ever be able to match Prince live...

Any "exclusive" CD's he releases will find their way to bootlegs. And even though I would rather give Prince my money than bootleggers, he's had plenty of chances to turn his business handlings around and still can't get it right. Maybe the only way he will learn is if he fails...

I thought that the membership ended in February. If it ends in December then maybe I will start working on the FU letter.

But seriously. How do you think they can justify giving us only 2 CDS? I know this live album is supposed to be 3 disks, but really don't you count a live album as that? Album? Singular?
I am taking a wait and see attitude, but as next year approaches it gets harder to do.
I also do not like the way they have just kept us in the dark this year.

I will say that I enjoyed the DLs because it gave me something to look forward to and I felt "in touch" with the NPGMC.

Although, I understand that many people had problems with DL especially if you had a slow connection. However, enough people suggested CDs and that's exactly what we got, so that's my take on the music end of it.

Although I got my money's worth, I know a lot of people feel they didn't. My greatest gripes is information from NPGMC:

They (if that includes whatever Prince tells them to say so be it) don't give you enough information to make a good judgement.

They don't explain things in plain english, which leaves a lot to interpretation.

Although it's a club, I get more info from Prince.org faster than I do from NPGMC.

I'll probably join again next year, but they need to make some serious changes so that at least most (if not all) of the club will be happy.

Although "All" is really streching it.

Sent mine seeking a refund to them two weeks ago. After ten days without getting a reply, I sent a letter to the BBB.

I'm just interested in what they're gonna offer next year. If they offer 4 cds sent through the year, we now know that a) they could turn up anytime, even in December! b) the working titles/concepts offered may be shelved at anytime, there's no guarantee.

At least next year if we hand over $100 on January 1st and receive a 4 cd live set the next December 31st with it going on general release the next day, we'll only have ourselves to blame!!

Yeah, this is going to be hit or miss with Prince, just getting the vibe that this is really going to put the "fams" in the yea or nay catagory.

Don't join NPGC straightaway.
Hold off for as long as possible;
keep checking this forum to see what the Prince lemmings (u know who u r) have received and if it seems that it is worth joining the club then do so towards the end of the year. This way u will still receive everything but u can hang on2 your $100 until its viable to part with it.
S'what I am gonna do.

Way ahead of you. I wrote a long one a few weeks back and posted it here (under my previous profile). Didn't exactly say "FU" so much as "no thanks" and "what a shame".

Believe me, I can get a LOT more Prince music for my $100 elsewhere - money I would gladly give to P if he would in fact "free the music". Apparently, he's not interested.
