I got tired of all the rumours about the club that have been doing the rounds about npgmc. I am really in2 the club and back it totally but i emailed npgmc and asked them str8, r u closing down? i got the reply and i quote "We have no information about 2003 yet!" thats it! Now i am definetly starting 2 worry, this doesnt sound very encouraging and im now worried that the club may cease! That would b a terrible loss 4 Fams! Any1 else got any news regarding this? I HOPE AGAINST HOPE THAT THIS IS NOT GOING 2 B THE CASE! I LUV THE CLUB!!!

That was the same response they gave last year.

Considering dat NPGMC is now Prince's 1st ressource of $$$ with the concerts, it's unlikely he's goin' 2 close it.

But, hey, do they begin 2 respond 2 emales again or am eye dreaming ???

I wouldn't mind seeing the club come to an end. It just seems to cause more harm than good. Fans are all getting stressed out about the ONA Live CDs, get upset when they can't get tickets, etc.

If you think the NPGMC has failed to live up to your standards, DON'T REJOIN.

If I have enough bad meals and/or crappy service at a restaurant, I DON'T GO BACK. Should the place close down? NO!!!

If one day, I decide that Prince's music no longer lives up to my standards and expectations, I may stop buying it. Am I arrogant enough to say that he should just give up and stop recording because I cease to enjoy his product? NO!!!

Bravo, Scotty...!!! I 100% agree with you. There are way too many people who thread the org with negative stuff about the whole club and / or Prince. If you don't like it... leave! I haven't had the quickest responses sometimes when it comes to e-mailing the club, but when you call for a repairman, does he always come immediately? I've waited a week before I've had someone come and hook my cable up after I called... did I say 'screw it' just because the company was busy dealing with how many others of thousands of calls in that same week and trying to hook up those people as well? Prince isn't supposed to wait on us hand and foot... he's supposed to enlighten us with his creations. Most bands / artists are lucky if they have enough creative talent to supply their fans with ONE new cd a year... with Prince we get several! 'Yes' not all of them are brand new experiences, but who cares! It's still the fact that they are coming from Prince who I, and some others of us, deeply ADMIRE AND APPRECIATE FOR WHO AND WHAT HE IS AND WHAT ENJOYMENT HE HAS BROUGHT FORTH INTO OUR LIVES!

Give him $100 up front and wait 10 months for the same old snake oil to come to your door. This is true comedy.

Kid (with mutliple org accounts), when you grow up and do something more than serving adults coffee for a living you might learn about positive consumer concerns. Negative complaining is when you get in line and wait for an hour, and then some moron at the back of the line starts complaining to the people waiting in the front.

This idea of the club has gone from good idea to insane. Prince is not Santa Claus. The fools who are waiting are paying big bucks to wait a long time and those who didn't are now thinking.. "now we know why this con-artist formerly known as deserves to be bootlegged"

If he does close or change the club, it will be because of all the hot water he's in right now. Beam me up Scotty , earl-grey, hot ! And don't worry he'll have another plastic hockey puck waiting in boxes to tempt us with next year. At least that puck was worth the honest buck and the wait.

The 3CD set will come and you can put it up on the mantle of honor next to all your posters, purple candles and you can admire it and to it all you want. Then you can blow your 10 month load in happiness ..

Let me try this one more time since you obviously didn't understand my post.

I think the club sucks as well. I didn't see a concert, so I didn't have that perk. So far, I've recieved ONA like half of the other members, and nothing more. If ONA Live is the last of the cd's that we are to get, then I probably won't rejoin, unless the club changes considerably.

Some people, however, have gotten their money's worth and have been very happy with the club. Who are you to judge someone elses satisfaction with NPGMC? Obviously, you're not happy with it and that is your right. I can see why people aren't happy with it. There's more to the club than cd's, though. Some people are probably very happy spending $100 just for the concert perks. Some people, like myself, are in it for the music that was promised.

I will probably not get my $100 worth out of this club. If I do, I'll be pleased.

If you don't like something that you paid for...then DON'T BUY IT AGAIN! But don't get all bent out of shape if some people have been pleased with what their $100 got them. People have a right to be satisfied if they want. I'm not, but that's not the point that I've made twice now.

I don't know about you, but my wife and I have better things to decorate our home with then some tacky ass purple candle Prince shrine. Comments like that will get your argument zero credit from me.

Is NPGMC willing to COMMUNICATE in a timely, respectful, and detailed way to their customers or not. If NOT, then you cannot run a SUCCESSFUL business.

I can't see HOW they can possibly do a year 3 with things in it's present form.

Prince: there are simply RULES in business that have NOTHING to do with creating art and releasing art as you feel.
