What suggestions do you have to make a better NPGMC for next year.

I guess what most people want is information and better communication. Element of surprise isn't really working for some reason!

hmm how bout dump the stupid club, it will eliminate the whining, and still offer great seats and cd's through the site?

4 or 5 cd's a year, for 20 dollars.. that would be the same amounts of money he has been getting from the club.. and if he released singles with B sides for 7 dollars, he would be Bankin it! think about it.. f*ck the club, and just sell cd's.. short stack

This man needs to take a class on how to run a company:)

I agree totally. Sdl hit it right on the head. Just release the cds and let us pay for them. Right now, mid october, i have paid $100 for a 33 min ONA cd, and i am pissed. I could have bought a boot cheaper

bring back the DownLoads & Vidoes & more CDs... PLEASE!

Unfortuneatly, Prince knows that once the word gets around his latest album (whatever it may be at that time) sucks ass, many of us my pass on buying it.

No more downloads... the quality is naff even on 320 kbps... I paid £70 for year one and I feel like i got nothing... I even had to shell out for the Rainbow Children (£9) cuz the download quality was is just poor.
To be honest I think the club is a way of Prince getting rid of his naff back catalogue.

Year Two has been a disappointment so far and even if another 3 albums arrive then that still = £70 for four albums. Now the fact that they are only available thru NPG is the only thing that keeps me with the club.

If they were also available at record stores etc then I woudlnt join the club as I feel conned, not onyl by the lack of stuff I think I have received but by the quality of the work that has actualy been sent.

If Prince has indeed 1000+ unreleased songs in his vault then he could tidy these up and release a few CD's for a few years as part of the club, while he takes a break, chills out and writes a few decent songs. Infact just for him to take a break from music completely. Perhaps go somewhere peaceful (like New Zealand) and chill out for a while.

Then come back to music, get a record distribution deal, release an album with no more than 10 songs on it, all of them killer tunes and get a whole new genenration of fans that will go back and buy ATWIAD, SOTT & the others and see what other good stuff he did.

a lottery where one member and a guest get flown 2 the celebration from anywhere in the world, get vip treatment and get to meet prince, who will personally show them around the park and jam a bit for them in the music room.

how many members would need to join to cover this cost?
how many members would join because of this posssibility?

i think it would more than pay for itself and be a great gesture to loyal "fams"

It makes no difference what is said about improving the club in the next year. Does anyone remember the 'future of the NPGMC' chat at the end of the first year?

The particular phrase used by one of the NPGMC moderators that sticks in my mind is WE THINK YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR IN ADVANCE.

That idea didn't last more than a month, did it?

& what's people problems with the MP3. Eye compared both CD & MP3 versions of U make my sun shine & When will we b paid & couldn't hear ANY difference ! & believe me eye have a VERY good stereo.

Eye mean seriously.. in year one, When Prince announced he was releasing The Rainbow Children.. did he stop all downloads for the year and just send us that, ahead of time? nooo, we had great mp3's.. and the Rainbow Children was sortof like an extra perk for bein in the club..

it just seems like,he is shutting down the first plans, and shifting towards something that he can profit on, twice..

He should release the firstly planned cd's (that ARE finished) and send this live set (AS SOMETHING EXTRA).. maybe just a 2cd.. then club members can run to Best Buy and get the 3cd set... hence, he makes double money.

Apparently, you haven't been paying attention - at least to MY rants.

Here's a few ideas, however radical:

- Release some fucking music
- Provide a smidgion of information about when it might be released and what it will be
- HONOR any and all advertisements they use to promote the Club
- Take all of the employees who spend all day looking for "pirates" of the music and dedicate them to anwering their customers questions.
- Make sure you have enough bandwith and server space to accomdate the demand for tickets.
- Make the membership fee less and simply offer the music in the retail section; you know, invoke all of that newfound "freedom" to release all of that music.
- Hire ME to do the graphics and illustrations.
- Tone down the preaching, or at least quit sending me bullshit questionairres and essays while ignoring my questions and feedback.
- Kiss MY $100 goodbye until they at least take just ONE SENTENCE top respond to my inquiries.

I was very pleased with what I recieved during the year one subscription of the club. And I was thinking of asking someone if there were plans to let you catch up on the previous months before on downloads like they did with year one. But...I'm seeing maybe it IS best just to skip out of this year's version of the club altogether...and maybe not even get involved in next year either!
