It's not Feb 2003 yet, and maybe just maybe the club likes to keep things a little bit of a suprize. From the looks of things the new cds are already in the can, finished work and it does not take too much detective work to find that out thru the net. Last year it was a bunch of crying about not being able to download etc.. but most of you are back and from the looks of things y1 was cool for most. Now it's y2 and y2 is not up yet and you know they won't send out this stuff til near the end, have faith and don't wage war on Prince over not having patients.. wait and see.. AND IS THIS ALL REALLY WORTH FREAKING ABOUT! IGNORE THE OLD NAYSAYERS.

Yeah, by the tone or some of these threads you'd think the sky was falling. Some folks just don't know what a good thing they have until it's gone. Prince needs your support, and we need him. Be patient!

hmm do anywho of u understand what the situation is? eye think we would be just fine waiting for a cd, if we had a date, or soemthing 2 let us know we are actually getting something. With prince's track record, u never really know..

NPGMC is a business which refuses to adhere to the basic tenets of business.

they have our money yet don't have the courtesy and professionalism to keep us informed about product and release dates. they are in the wrong and this is why we are unhappy.

eye'm geting a little anxious but, i can't do anything about it. we have a 3CD Set coming our way & that aught 2 b fun 4 the Next few Months... hmmm.. 3 CDs... Sweet!!!

So why draw all these negative conclusions? I'm anxious to get my CDs too. And I've read enough of these posts to understand why some members feel they've been scammed. Based on what? Assumtions? Surely not from email responses from NPGMC. They don't know anything, so I don't understand why anyone continues to ask them. They contradict themselves more often than not. This is Prince's show and he's the one running it. Right now he's serving those in Europe. Therefore, I don't expect anything to be shipped from PP before he's back in the states and has the opportunity to put his final seal of approval on it.

Just like Y1 when the MP3s were leaked to the MP3 traders the value of the club dropped. This y2 is being protected, think about is in terms of if you had the music already(copies) and still wanted good seats vs. shittier ones it would give you a better opinion to join now.

Rave "in2" is heavily bootlegged?! or easily bought on ebay? What will the possible value of all this be this y2?? Don't always count on everything being released, go and try to buy the 'hit-n-run' singles these days, hard to find and expensive. It's pretty clear he is getting people to join for 'better' concert seating and saving the cds for the end. Yeah he is holding them cause if they are bootlegged they are of less value to someone joining the club for cd's and concert seating, either way a NPGMC cd is less value when it is legged.
If anyone is bootleggin! I would watch it a war will be starting soon on leggers and well if your stealing his music you maybe out in the cold!

Realm has just posted the first reasonable explanation for the CDs being held back and you know what - it makes sense. I don't blame Prince for adopting this tactic.

In terms of boots of his shows, fair enough - he ain't releasing them so they're going to get booted and circulated - but the CDs themselves - that's gotta be off limits and I know you can get ONA without joining the club.

At the UK shows Prince played some of the new Live Album and it sounds like Da Bomb... it's gonna be well worth the wait...so just chill

But the fact that club members haven't got the new CDs and are complaining to everyone, creating a negative impression of the club, then that decreases the value of the club.

Perhaps they are saving money. If all the CDs are sent at once, it would save them shipping costs. I mean, it must cost more to send to members in, say, Asia and Europe, than to members within the USA. I still hope we will get more than just the ONA live disks, it would be a nice surprise, a big box full of Prince music falling on you doorstop one morning!

I think that the reason they haven't sent the ONA Live CD is because he hasn't finished touring yet... It's like spoiling what he has in store 4 all the rest of the fans in Europe and Asia..but whenever it turns up it'll be a great surprise ( present?!) and I 4 1 can't wait!

I reserve faith for God. He, at least, has a track record that warrants it.

The NPGMC is a poorly run operation that more and more resembles a scam every time a paid customer's request for information is either ignored or greeted with a disrespectful response.

I hope at least one of you has aired your gripes with the Better Business Bureau.

bootleg schmootleg. i was hoping we'd get some outtakes - anything- other than another version of stuff we already have.

i'd pay a ton of $$ to hear prince sit down and record new ideas, snippets of songs even, like when you're working on recording/arranging a new piece and still filling it out . . . in fact it'd be cool to hear his ideas from the first recorded version to the last, final version.
