Housequake

I have tried to register to Housequake and it says "Registration has been disabled by the administrator". I know they have had problems but why can't you register? It says they are gonna ask if you are affiliated with P in anyway but then won't let you register at all. eek

HQ is by no means my Prince "home", but those that run and mod the site and those for whom HQ is Prince "home", ya'll are in my thoughts. Fight for what you think is right and hang in there!

I looked at the members list and there are people with a join date of 8-13-07. This is strange..... nuts

I think it's all moving quite quickly over there. They've had to remove their In Funk We Trust photo banner, wallpaper etc. Sad, really sad.

sad

We closed registration due to a large amount of user abuse. It will be re-opening shortly.

As to the removal of banners, we did that voluntarily whilst we make a few changes.

HQ is very much alive and well.

The idea of Housequake seems to have slid rapidly into being a closed-interest group of 'Housequake' fanatics which is best visualised a bunch of thugs hanging around threateningly outside Prince's hotel window shouting abuse.

While fronting as the Robin Hoods of Prince fandom, self-generated HQ paranoia must really be biting in there by now as it seems the latest obsession is with fronting up in legalese to ensure they keep out Prince's people and any others who are actually fans of Prince rather than Housequake's posturing.

Just one of the latest upgrades: (http://www.housequake.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=92793)

"Just a reminder - members may only have one account.
Anyone found with duplicate accounts will receive points and /or be banned.
Any previously banned member who registers again and is discovered will be reported to their isp for abuse.

Some may find it amusing to keep registering on a private site where you are not welcome but is it worth having your isp terminate your account? "

Incredible arrogance that seems to want to emulate the 'Dark Prince' they've fallaciously evoked in recent times. Can anybody remind me of anything I'm gonna miss from the old days now I've finally given up and resigned from HQ?

Consider yourself fortunate to have been denied registration. Ironically, The mods on Housequake have been known to ban accounts if persons disagreed too strongly with their holy crusdade to battle the Prince of Darkness.
