I thought I would add, this isn't a rehash (as it must appear to be), just wondering why so many things were said that are not true, and then release it to the Press? Why???... I thought that would be fairly obvious - to suck in more people. An honest press release would no doubt only snare die-hard fans and, since theyve already joined, they are going after the people who know no better and cant sniff out all the poop in that statement.
Dont get me wrong, its been good so far this year and there has been less hassle than last year but can ayone really say that, when they joined up for "at least 4 new cds" they were hoping to get one piano only album and a 3 cd live set. Yes ONA alone is very differnt and beautiful inplaaces but,to me,it gives the impression that it was rushed justto fill the obligation. And the live cd...Ive always wanted one (who hasnt) but I would much rather have looked forward to 3 seperate Kick-ass albums. But I shall wait and be grateful for what I will receive. Im sure I'll get loads of mesages saying that im being ungrateful and whatever...but Im just being honest. Thats what really hacks me off about the NPGMC they only wnat to know if you are kissing ass and it might boost their sales...but then isnt tahtthe same with every profit making organisation - survival of the fittest.

purpledoveuk - folks who air their opinions are entitled to do it, that is why we have a "reply" button. Each time someone says something - bad or good - at the very least, someone "involved" in the Music Club should care enough to improve it. Sometimes we just can't see ourselves in the mirror, ya know? (meaning the NPGMC)

I'm not entirely convinced that this Live set is going to sell very well.
10 years ago it would have been a different story, especially as it would have come just after Prince's Diamonds and Pearls album and tour, but looking at the tracklisting - who else but die-hard fans will want to hear these particular songs live?

Yes, Haystack, and that also brings up another question of...is this going to be pure live tracks, or tracks with overdubs?
Soon we will know the answer to that, at least.

What is a pure live track?
If you take a live track & tone down the crowd noises it isn't pure anymore. That would upset you??? I love the enhancements Prince does to his live recordings. Bring on the overdubs!

BINGO! You are so right. I used to be a diehard P. McCartney fan but grew tired of him in the 80's. No live recordings he did after that attracted me back.

The Hit and Run Tour would have been GREAT to sell to the masses. The ONA tour should have been a NewFunk/NPGMC sell.
I need to be Prince's manager. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Saw that "pure live" & everything went red.
