Eye just joined the club, although eye missed the soundcheck in Hamburg for the reason of late joining!

U whining people suck. I like the music and of course it is expensive, but how many members does this club have, what do u think 15.000 or the double and that times a 100$ doesn't make the man rich it would pay the costs of PP and perhaps some other stuff or?

So Eye am positive to receive a nice package at the end of the year with whatever will be in it.

When Eye bought The Crystal Ball...eye didn't expect to receive the acoustic album the truth...so eye hope eye will be surprised this time angain.

I still actually believe he has finished products of the other 3 cd's... but he is into this new live set, and thats what he wants people to hear, hopefully we get what we initially were told.. eye will be one unhappy puppy if not

Think about it this way he could just take the One Night Alone Box Set separate the Cd's rename the 1 st disc Last December the 2nd disc Greatest Hits and 3 rd disc Xenophobia then what would people think we never knew what was on the CD's anyway. Which ever way he can technially make a wrong move right in his eyes.

Well, its pretty obvious we should probably not expect anything after ONA live.. considering its mid November, and we havent even recieved it yet (eye know soon tho).. and it takes them quite a while to get things together.. so unless anything is included in it, eye dont expect anything else..except maybe a wonderful mp3 to end the club... maybe two.. lets say Moonbeam Levels and Wonderful Ass?

Getting 2 perfect copies of those 2 songs alone would make me reconsider this whole club thing.. those two are masterpieces.. and also Electric Intercourse.. but u know he'll never let that one go

All I can say right now is that I'm looking forward to the ONA Live set and that I don't think that this box will end the year (whatever might come after that). What I think about the Club this year, I will think about in time.

Prince pretty much understands that the majority of his "Followers" are going to be happy with whatever he puts on the 4 cds.

Heck, he could put down the instruments, start a new religion and still live like a king off these people.

Last eye heard they have NOT gone out yet.. they are holding it up for a few days, maybe a week!? not sure.. but they may say "in Progress" but eye'm almost 90% positive that no'one has or will recieve it till next week, or maybe the week after... They sent me a reply sayin that they havent made the decision of when to actually send them..

Darnit.! Was going 2 help dub some of the live shows 4 friends who wanted to wait for an "official" release back in September. Now I feel bad that they missed out on the music for this long.

I couldnt agree more! npgmc is excellent. We dont own Prince we r here 2 support him. If u dont like the club then dont rejoin but please please please DO stop crying like a spolit lil brat (yes u Savannah!) maybe prince originally planned 2 put out 4 separate cd albums but severely misjudged the amount of people who would actually join up to his club. when hardly anyone at all joined up, he figured giving 4 separate LP's 2 maybe only a couple of thousand people? was just bad business. this might even mean barely covering the costs of manufacture and distribution for 4 separate releases.

if hardly any of his own loyal fanbase fail subscribe to his club 2 buy his music then he is unlikely to entice a huge amount of record stores (and more importantly the casual record buying public) wanting to take 4 LP's in one year. therefore releasing a live box set gets him out of a sticky situation with his club members (technically fullfilling an obligation 2 them) and also has a slightly wider commercial appeal after touring.

if this is the case then i am still trying 2 figure out how he could misjudge the potential projected sales figures so badly. he must have estimated potential sales based on the number of members in year 1 in order to plan for year 2. one could assume the second year membership numbers dropped so massively they left him thinking he would be wasting so much new material on so few?

Good afternoon all! I have frequently read posts on this site but did not feel the need to join in and add my two cents until now because I feel very strongly about all the negativity I have read. If I am restating something someone has already stated, I apologize. There are not a lot of artists that would set up a club like Prince has where the fans get more access to him. Regardless if you had to pay to attend the Celebration or not, nobody else did that. My interpretation of the club was that I was joining because I was a fan of Prince's music, period. I personally did not care about so-called perks, but I felt that I could give something back to the artist that he has given me through his music. You get out of club what you put into it. If you were in it to get the four CDs, perhaps you should have not joined until you found out what those CDs were going to be. I have been a fan since the beginning and if it were not for the club I would not have been at my first Prince concert ever. I got into two afterparties free and a soundcheck. Also, I have been reading on this site when so-called fans speak of bootlegging his music. If you are taking money out of someone's pocket, don't get mad at someone for taking it out of yours. What goes around comes around. People who are not in club and those who are leaving may believe they are smarter than those of us who are staying in, but if ignorance is bliss, I'll just remain blissfully ignorant.
